5 Ways To Build Backlinks

Backlinks are very important for your website. Every site needs backlinks to survive, and getting good backlinks isn't always easy. I feel that after you read this idea you will figure out some ways to get more backlinks for your site.

  1. Submit links to web directories
  2. Their are literally thousands of web directories on the web for you to submit your site to. What is great about link directories are they categorize your links, which makes it easier for another webmaster to find your site in the directory listing. There are two types of directories; free and paid. Taking advantage of both kinds can only result positively for your website.

  3. Link Bait
  4. Link baiting is a really great way to create backlinks. This is when you release content like themes, articles, eBooks, graphics, etc. and in exchange you get a link back to your site on. Another positive about link bait is if a visitor of a site that uses your content likes that content, they can find your link, download the content and have it on their site. Now that is two people who have your link on their site. If that process can keep going you can build up thousands of links!

  5. Link Exchange
  6. Link Exchanging is the most popular way of backlink building. There is really not much to it, you put their link on your site and they return the favor. Can be good for traffic, and of course backlink building.

  7. Blog Commenting
  8. When you visit other people's blogs and you see a post you like, you make a comment on it right? Does the blog you comment on have a field where you can add your link to? Do you know how helpful that field is? Even if the blog has nofollow links (meaning no PR value will be added to your site when link clicked), it can still bring some visitors to your site.

  9. Forum Posting
  10. Posting on your favorite forums can do two things for you; one, you can enjoy talking to your friends, and two you can build links for your site. Nearly every forum allows links in your signature. So for every post you make on a forum, your link will be right under your post. When you post, you should always try to stick your link in it so long as it contributes to the topic and it is okay with the forum rules.
Let me know if these tips have helped you build up some backlinks.
