Well, I'm not going to keep you in suspense until the end of the article to find out. I'm going to tell you right now...there aren't. Now, if you want to keep reading to find out why there are no traffic secrets, then you might want to read what follows. It just might prove to be very enlightening.

Many gurus profess that there are indeed traffic secrets. They talk about the mysteries and challenges of getting traffic. They then offer to you their latest book on the subject. And then you read it and say to yourself, "But I already knew this. This isn't a secret" and immediately ask for a refund or just let the book sit on your hard drive collecting electrons. Tell me I'm wrong. Of course not. I have yet to read a book on traffic secrets that had any true secrets.

So then why is it that people can't get traffic to their web sites? Well, for the most part, it's because they don't use the things that they DO know properly. For example, let's say you got a book on traffic secrets and one of them was to write articles and submit them to directories to get traffic. Now, you've already been doing this for a while and you're not getting any traffic at all. So you're naturally upset that you didn't learn anything new. However, if you took the time to read the rest of the chapter on article marketing, you would have discovered what it was you were doing wrong.

Like what? Well, like writing poor titles that get people to read your article. Like writing poor resource boxes that don't get people to go to your site. Like not writing a good article in the first place that captures the reader's attention. Maybe if you had done those things, article marketing WOULD have worked the way you expected it to. This holds true for every other form of traffic generation that exists. If you look up traffic generation online, you will find every single one that exists.

The point is this. There are no secrets. The only secret is using what you already know effectively.
