Three Things to Know Before Submitting Your Articles Anywhere

You will find a number of my articles scattered across the internet in more than 150 Article Directories. They have been viewed by thousands of readers, republished, and even emailed to friends of the readers. The benefit has been free information for my readers and traffic to my various blogs and websites. Feel free to copy my formula.

Submitting articles to directories like this one is a major form of information-based marketing. We have had information-based marketing for many years via direct mail. It's one of the oldest and most effective techniques to reach targeted prospects and convert those prospects into buyers. Now, with the internet, the new form of direct mail has become article marketing. Article writing and directory submissions have made the difference for many websites and blogs. Where they once starved for traffic, they now have a steady flow thanks to article marketing.

The directories also benefit because of increased traffic from search engines. People who Google or Yahoo for a specific topic are likely to find many directories from which to choose that have the content they seek.

There are many tools to make the process of writing and distributing articles easily but this article is not about those, it's about how you can become an effective article marketer. It's about the mistakes you need to avoid as you start out.

Mistake 1. Writing with the wrong motives.

There are three obvious benefits to article marketing - branding, lead generation, and promotion of your website or blog. But there should be only one overwhelming motive for writing an article - to provide free and helpful information to your reader.

If the article is not focused on this primary and most important motive, it will fail to achieve the three benefits because your insincerity will be obvious. Readers are quick to perceive your self-serving purpose. How do you get people to read what is in your article, then click on your link in your resource box? Give them valuable information for free and invite them to get more by clicking your link.

Mistake 2. Failing to take advantage of article marketing as a promotional tool.

The link in your Author Box can help you generate additional links back to your site but you may not know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same article.

When writing, don't forget to insert your keywords at strategic places in the article. One at the beginning, one or two in the middle and one near the end is sufficient. You should also use anchor text in your Author Box link when the directory allows html. Out of the 185 directories I submit articles to, 21 do not allow anchor text. They do allow a standard URL to link back to your website or blog.

If you take the extra time to write quality content and use keywords and/or anchor text in your articles, your articles might get picked up by publishers with a large number of readers thus further expanding your possibilities for traffic back to you. This also results in better search engine placement because of the number of links back to you from sites outside the article directory.

If you have something to sell, that increase in traffic will put money in your pocket

Mistake 3. Publishing content that is mediocre or that attempts to redirect your reader to a sales page.

If you think that you can write and submit any drivel and you will automatically get links back to your site, think again.

Nearly all article directories are human-edited which means a real person will read your article. If it's drivel, they will reject it. Do that a few times and they will blacklist you. It's very important that you read the submission guidelines to avoid rejection or blacklisting. Play by the rules and you will reap the three benefits. Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically.

When you write and submit good stuff you raise your chances of reaching hundreds, perhaps thousands of readers overnight. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to republish your good stuff. Write articles that you, yourself, would publish. I cannot tell you how many articles I reject for my blogs because they are self-serving drivel but it's about 99%!

Mistake 4. Submitting illiterate articles.

This is a big one. Just recently I had a spell of "writers' arrogance" and did not take the time for spelling and grammar checks. Six of my articles were rejected!

Look, how hard is it to do a spell check and follow basic rules of good grammar? Before you submit, check and recheck for mistakes. Editors will quickly reject your article if it doesn't meet the basics or that makes you look like you only made it through the 5th grade. I use the spell and grammar check functions built into Microsoft Word.

In the end, it's all up to you to do it the right way. Put your readers first and the benefits to you - second - and you will soon be spread all over the web.

Article Research And Writing An Article Outline

When you write as many articles as I have it is easy to forget that not everyone can just sit down and write an article. Being able to write is the backbone of your future success, however, so you need to get your own system for writing quality articles.

It all starts with an idea and a little article research. One of my favorite tools I use everyday is called Search Automator. This makes researching content for any article a breeze.

Here's a couple of more things on writing articles. When you write try and write like you talk. Using fancy words and writing like you think will impress people does not work because it never sounds natural. Writing like you talk works because you are being yourself and you as become a better writer your articles will sound more natural and interesting.

Here is a simple formula you can use as an outline for your articles called AIDA.

When writing an article break it into 4 parts.

Attention

Interest

Desire

Action

Your title should attract attention. If you don't get read your dead. For this reason we try to write around a primary keyword and include it in the title of the article.

Your introduction should create interest and lead people into the body. Let you reader know what the article is about and why they should read it.

The body should continue to create interest in the subject. Try and write short 2-3 word paragraphs which will help get the whole article read and not have people skimming down the article. Long paragraphs get skimmed over because they are hard to read on the Internet.

If you write a compelling article you will create desire to know more which leads into your resource box.

The resource box is where you sell yourself or your website. Your goal is to get action. The action you want is to get the click through to your website.

Using Search Automator to do good research and following this outline is a great way to develop a quality article and increase your website traffic with it.

SEO Trade Secrets - 8 Great Tools for Search Engine Optimization

About 80% of website traffic comes through search engines. And research shows, if youre not on the first 2 pages, most people wont find you.

This article isnt about how to achieve a high ranking. That topic has been done to death over the past few months. We all know the basics now Submit your site to the major search engines, scatter a generous helping of the right keyword phrases throughout your site in real sentences, then get a lot of other relevant sites link to your site. Thats it.

This article is about what tools to use to make your job easier.

1) Choosing Keyword Phrases (costs approx USD$7.50 per day)

To decide what keyword phrases to use, subscribe to http://www.wordtracker.com for a day and do some analysis. Simply enter a keyword and WordTracker tells you how often people have searched for that keyword in the last month or two, how many competitor sites are using that keyword, and how many searches it expects in the next 24hrs.

2) Measuring Keyword Density (FREE)

To measure the density of the keyword phrases on your page, go to http://www.gorank.com/analyze.php and type in the domain and keyword phrase you want to analyse. Itll give you a percentage for all the important parts of your page, including copy, title, meta keywords, meta description, etc. The higher the density the better.

3) Check How Search-Engine-Friendly Your Site Is (FREE)

Search engines send out spiders (or robots) to investigate your site. These tools allow you to see your site from the spiders point of view. - http://optimiser.123promotion.co.uk - enter your URL and a keyword phrase and it gives you a great summary of the things you could improve. - http://www.1-hit.com/all-in-one/tool.search-engine-viewer.htm - enter your URL and it gives you a summary of the things you could improve. - http://www.gritechnologies.com/tools/spider.go? - Poodle tells you how many links the spider will see and investigate.

4) Check How Many of Your Pages are Indexed (FREE)

Go to just about any search engine and type site:www.yourdomain.com. The search engine will then tell you how many of your pages it has indexed.

5) Monitor Your Position in Google (FREE)

No need to waste time clicking through hundreds of Google search results looking for your site. This tool allows you to enter a keyword and a domain name, and it searches Google to see where your domain is positioned. Go to http://www.cleverstat.com/google-monitor-query.htm to download the setup file. Then just install.

6) See How Important Sites Are (FREE)

The Google Toolbar is an indispensable tool. One of the things it can tell you is the importance of every site you visit (in Googles eyes at least). Youve probably heard a bit about PageRank or PR. PR is Googles measure of the importance of a site. Basically, the higher your PR, the higher your ranking. This tool gives you a snapshot of the PR of every site you visit. Go to http://toolbar.google.com. TIP: Its good to get links from other sites with high PR especially if they contain the same keywords as your site. WARNING: Apparently the Google Toolbar monitors your internet usage. As yet, its unclear what it uses this information for.

7) Monitor What Sites are Linking to Yours (FREE)

Google News Alerts (http://www.google.com/newsalerts?hl=en) and Google Web Alerts (http://www.google.com/webalerts) will tell you whos linking to your site. Simply set up an alert to be notified when Google finds www.yourdomain.com.

8) Getting Help (FREE)

If youre new to SEO, the first thing you should do is check out Googles guide to SEO at http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html. If you already know the basics, there are a number of forums you can subscribe to to post questions. These forums are free, and theyre frequented by countless SEO experts. And when I say experts, I mean EXPERTS! Some of these people do SEO all day, every day. And like many technical experts, theyre only too happy to help for free. The best forum seems to be http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3, but http://searchengineforums.com/Forum28 is ok too. If all else fails, you can try sending Google an email. Go to http://www.google.com.au/contact/index.html, but dont hold out much hope of help here. Theyll eventually answer, but theres no guarantee on the quality of their response

This is just a snapshot of the tools available out there, but these will certainly get you started.

SEO - The Benefits Of Implementing White Hat or Ethical Methods

In the art of search engine optimization (SEO), the rules of the game vary, and there are rules that legitimate operators follow, and ones which unscrupulous or scamming individuals follow.

Ethical, or white hat SEO, is seen as the legitimate and proper way of increasing traffic and widening the profit margins, of your Web site. Generally, white-hat SEO is concerned with the general techniques and methods of the trade.

In practicing this technique, one should always be careful about the methods used in optimizing a Web site, because practicing illegitimate means increases the chances of the search engines black-listing your client's Web site, and lowering the credibility of your business. It is generally mandatory that an ethical SEO expert or firm needs to have valid and legal reasons for their search engine strategies, and even the support data offered by them has to be coherent and appropriate as well.

White-Hat SEO's Goal Is To Improve Links

The main goals of the SEO industry, is to improve the links of an online site or firm, on the search engines. It is also concerned with designing the most efficient and potent strategies to attract a larger base of customers through search engine links.

The major advantage of practicing ethical methods, is that it can give an reliable rank and placement to your client's Web site in the search engines. This is done, because this ethical practice will not include any illegitimate methods of advertising the Web site. Moreover, it needs to be emphasized that ethical methods always pays more than fair returns in the long run, while unethical methods can help to blacklist your clients, and your business as well.

Good SEO Methods Put Emphasis On Improving Your Content

One of the most vital aspects of ethical SEO practice, is the type of content present in your site. It's a fact that content always decides the number, as well as the type of visitors that will gain access to your Web site. A Web site's content needs to be fresh, interesting, highly informative and catchy so that online visitors will be able to attain complete information about a product or service.

However, one should think that content as it should, must not look like a school essay. Generally, the site's content aims to enhance the popularity of a Web site. Another aspect to take note, is that the matter of content should be saleable, and this means that that it should give adequate and appropriate information about the products and services, so that online visitors can be turned into actual purchasers.

Practicing good or ethical search engine optimization requires a lot of diligence and perseverance. It's not like an unethical practice that can make a Web site be easily seen on the search engines within just a few minutes, and basically reap nothing for you. An ethical SEO technique may take some time to develop, and each and every possible strategy to get implemented is done a permanent way.

The execution of ethical strategies should be expected to bring a larger amount of targeted traffic to your online business, and in addition, practicing ethical methods ill give you the legitimacy you long for, and get you the respect you deserve.

Regardless of the reasons, you need to regularly check your site's rankings and plan your SEO strategy in an honest and legitimate way, to let your Web site evolve as needed to meet the more pressing challenges or changes in this particularly competitive online environment.

Getting Those Links On A Tight Budget

Believe it or not, you can get links that either don't cost you a cent, or very little. Most of these methods are very time consuming so remember, you get what you either pay for or put into it. By consistently spending as little as an hour a day, you can increase your inbound links and pare rank.

One method is to simply email every website you can think of in your niche and ask them for a link. In many cases people say yes and you have one. Be polite in the email and explain what visitors to your site can gain with the resource. To make it east for the link to be added include a html coded link that can be cut and pasted to make the link. Another way to spin this is instead of asking for the link as for a link exchange.

You can also try a form of link-bait. Post testimonials about other webmasters websites on your site. As soon as they are up, send a link to the owner of the website commenting about your review. Many times this will result in a link back to your page in order for the webmaster to show off the favorable review.

Go to online forums and discussion groups. Make useful and relevant comments in the on-going discussions. Most of these forums allow for a signature with a link back to your site. If your comments are useful, it may inspire people to visit your site.

Write and post free articles online at article directories. You can find many of these directories by doing searches at Google, Yahoo! or MSN. Nearly all of these directories will allow you to publish your articles for free. They will also allow you a bio box where you can place links back to your website. If your article is good enough other websites may re-use your article at another site resulting in more links.

If your site has something of value, say it distributes a newsletter. You can promote a contest that offers advertisement space in your newsletter for a free link to your website.

Lastly, submit your website to as many directories as you can. Webmasters readily agree that directory submission is the best way to gain the targeted traffic to your site that you are craving. When you list your site in a directory, users of the web will view that page as a reliable resource for your specified niche. There are directories that will charge up to $299 per year for a listing, but most budgets dont allow for that. Submit to smaller directories where you will find expenses more in line with your budget. You can still find premium quality directories at a more reasonable fee such as AuthorityDirectory.com that can help you get the results you want.

The Authority Web Directory is a powerful, human edited directory. Visit now and take a look at our Authority Real Estate Directory.

Blogging Tips - Blog Marketing Strategies

One of the most effective blog marketing strategies can be summarized in one word, is it none other than, submission. What I meant is, directory submission. This may seem like an old method but guess what, it still works fine.

There are so many link directories where you can submit your blog. They also allow you to submit other websites which are not blogs. The newer directories would be blog directories and rss directories. They allow you so submit the links of your blog and the links of your rss feeds. For link directories, blog directories and rss directories, most of them are free but some of them charge a fee when you submit your blog to them.

Do not neglect article directories. They are still very useful. In this case you need to get some articles written before you can submit them to article directories. At the end of the directories, youa can add a link back to your blog. This is one of my personal favorite strategies.

Press release submission is also a very powerful strategy. There are many free press release sites available unfortunately most of them are really not that good. PRWeb is the best place for you to submit your press release but it cost you a small fee.

I must say that it is one of the best investment for your blog, especially when it is new. The exposure you get from there is much more than you can imagine. Also since PRWeb is an authority site, they will link to you when you submit your press release. You just got a one-way incoming link from an authority site. This alone will boost your search engine rankings & page rank.

To SEO or not to SEO?

There's a debate raging in marketing circles: should you use SEO or Search Engine Optimization techniques on your website or not?

First of all, what do I mean by SEO? Search engine copywriting requires that the copywriter concern himself with the strategic placement of keywords, tags and the like within his web copy to get the web page as high as possible in the search engine rankings.

According to a survey by Enquiro and MarketingSherpa on the role of search, over 60 percent of BTB buyers research products online from 2-12 months in advance of a purchase, and 69 percent of them start with the organic (i.e. search engine) listings. So, ranking high with the search engines is important.

That said, there are several other points to take into consideration:

(1) How does organic website traffic fit into your overall sales process? Do you drive traffic to your website using other means (advertisements, direct sales calls, seminars, free white paper offers, etc.)? And how qualified are the leads that come from the search engines?

(2) You need to make it into the top 10 or top 20 (any lower position is of little or no benefit). How much competition is there for the keyword? How likely is it that youll make it into the top 10-20 listings without too much effort?

(3) Search engines are constantly tweaking their algorithms (partly to prevent the black hat SEO experts from manipulating rankings) so just optimizing your pages is a moving target.

(4) Ultimately, content is king. Having plenty of useful (fresh) content on your site will probably do more for your rankings in the long-run than SEO will. Moreover, content is a more stable contributor to high rankings.

(5) Incoming links (other website linking to your site, ideally websites that are ranked high and are highly respected) are generally considered more valuable than simple keyword optimization and the like. See www.alexa.com to research website rankings.

(6) Keyword optimized pages can sound slightly strange; they often dont read well. Moreover, their selling power may be weaker than pages that focus first and foremost on the prospect, rather than the engine.

In the end, its probably best to follow a 3-part strategy:

(1) Focus on writing the most convincing copy you can, aimed at the human reader rather than the search engines.

(2) Optimize the keywords, if you wish, but never change a word of strong copy if that change will weaken the copy, even if SEO best practices dictate such a change.

(3) Once the page is up and working (e.g. generating strong conversion), optimize it for the engines by tweaking the copy, but test to make sure that those edits dont reduce conversions.

So, do SEO, but use SEO intelligently and always put your (human) prospect first.

Theres also a larger point here: besides search engine optimized pages and clever copy, what really drives traffic to your website and keeps visitors coming back is useful, fresh content.

Content is STILL king!

How to Establish a Budget for SEO

SEO (search engine optimization) is an incredibly young and volatile marketing realm. As a marketing manager with great expectations for SEO, you likely feel intense pressure to generate a great ROI, but you also feel dizzy from the possibilities and risks inherent to any internet marketing adventure.

Before you and your accounting team pull out your calculators and Excel spreadsheets, you MUST organize your strategic marketing goals. If you don't spell out these goals explicitly - and harmonize them with your vision for your company - you will burn up your investment and fast. Think of building a budget for SEO like designing a house. Unless and until you select the right neighborhood and style of house (vision) and map out the architectural skeleton (strategy), you will be hammering nails (budgeting tactics) essentially at random. And this will inevitably lead to a big mess.

That said, let's get down into the nitty gritty and discuss SEO budgeting tactics that work.

Three ways to gauge your project's budget:

  1. base your numbers on a (successful) past campaign that's similar to yours.
  2. aim to capture a specific share of your SEO market, and work backwards (based on figures published by competitors) to determine what SEO resources to deploy and where.
  3. designate a target percentage of total sales you wish to achieve though SEO marketing and work backwards to make this figure a reality.

What percentage of your total marketing budget should go into SEO internet marketing:

if you're selling pharmaceuticals or herbal products, you may want to go as high as 25%.

the average (across industries) is somewhere around 6%, but this figure will likely grow as SEO gains prominence as a marketing tool.

If you advertise primarily in the brick-and-mortar realm and/or have an unusual online demographic, your percentage could dip to 2% or lower.

Other important info to keep in mind:

nearly 90% of all business traffic generated from Google, Yahoo, and the other search engines comes from organic listings.

every month, nearly 6 billion search engine queries are made.

The top three search returns generate over 91 percent of traffic.

The term "Internet Marketing", also referred to as E marketing or online marketing, is an incredibly broad one. The internet has brought many advantages to marketing including low costs in distributing information and media to a global audience. Internet marketing is growing at a faster rate than other types of media so it is a worthwhile and desired tool to adopt.

If you have identified internet marketing as your favoured method, then you should learn about the industry in which it is in. First ask yourself 'why do I need internet marketing skills?' The fact that you have a website is the answer to this question. When the website is developed, you will want to drive traffic to it and the most effective way to do this is through internet marketing.

There are many business models based on the specific needs of each person or business who launches an internet marketing campaign. These include e-commerce which refers to retailing over the internet i.e. goods are sold to directly to businesses or consumers; publishing, or the sale of advertising; and lead-based sites where a company generates value by getting sales leads on their sites.

The first thing to do when getting started with internet marketing is to gather as much information together as possible. Internet marketing is a popular topic so there should be many resources available both online and offline. Just make sure your online information is from knowledgeable people who provide credible sources.

If internet marketing seems slightly out of your realm, then it is best to get in touch with companies who specialise in this area to allow you better insight and inside knowledge. There are many companies that will work on your behalf to ensure that your online marketing campaigns are a success. You will obviously have to pay for such services, but it will ensure a worthy investment and money-making results for you in the long-term.

As you can probably gather, getting started in internet marketing is just the beginning. After you have decided that an internet marketing campaign is needed for your project, it is then important to consider all of your options closely. As discussed, you can do many things to make internet marketing work to your advantage, as it is such a vast area.

To conclude, internet marketing involves carrying out your own research, and then hiring a company to work on your behalf, ensuring great results for your website.

How To Use Content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Use your keywords in your headlines with proper HEADING tags. Search engines pay special attention to the information within H1, H2, H3 tags. Put your most important keywords and information in your H1 tag. Start your page content as close to the top of the page as possible.

(Note: The above "tags" are not using any brackets due to the fact that this site does not allow HTML in it's articles. If you need to learn basic HTML please check out the following site for more information regarding HTML: www.w3schools.com/html/)

Start your first paragraph with a sentence that contains some of your keywords. For a page from www.worldwidemusic.com, the keyword "music" could be used about 10 times. Make sure that your content makes sense and use your keywords as you would in speaking to a person in conversation.

Hyper-link your keywords; for example, "click here for more information about Brazilian Music" with the keywords "Brazilian Music" as the anchor text or hyper link.

Not all search engine robots are created equal; the menu or navigation panel on your site is what they use to get to your other pages, creating a complex java script menu looks pretty to the human eye, but to some robots it might be complicated for them to navigate.

Solution: create a keyword text link navigation bar at the bottom of the page so that all of your pages make their way into the index. This encourages your visitors to explore other pages and using keywords as the hyper-links on your navigation bar or menu highlights them again for the search engine robots.

Create an XML site map here: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ .

and upload it to your web hosting server. Then go to: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ to register it with Google and get site activity information.

Remember that Content is king and the SE's love it. Treat your content right and it will return the favor!

Discover new ways to get massive amounts of traffic with a little extra effort and Monetize your Website

How To Maintain Your Search Engine Rankings Always On Top

If you start a new site from scratch and optimize it starting from onpage optimization up till offpage optimization it will take at least two months to see results.

Obviously there are some exceptions and the reasons are very difficult to identify sometimes. However such factors like the number of competition for your keywords and the type and quantity of links you get all effect how fast you get rankings.

Keep in mind that if you do get a ton of links fast and you get high rankings you need to keep getting a ton of links fast or you loose rankings. That is not realistic, so there is no fast way to get rankings. Getting links which are the core of optimization slowly and steadily will allow your site to rank and keep it rankings if you keep getting links slowly and steadily even after your site is ranked on top.

If you stop getting links, your rankings won't remain always on top. However does not mean you have to keep doing all the work. You may outsource and another advantage is that with your site ranked on top many webmasters will automatically contact you for a link exchange. Apart from that fact, you just have to get some links regularly to maintain your position. You need more links to get rankings than to maintain your site at top.

Older sites are more appreciated by search engines, so as your site gets old you have an advantage as well. The initial steps to get rankings can be classified as a bit tough but the rest becomes much easier.

This is what you need to do once you start getting high rankings:

1) Check that your link partners are still linking back to your website.

2) Add new articles once in a while, although the more you add the better as long as they are articles you create not copied.

3) Add nofollow tags on certain links like terms of conditions, earning disclaimers and privacy policies. There is no need for these pages to rank high in search engines. By putting nofollow tag, search engine spiders ignore them and they do not give them pr, instead they give the pr to your other important pages. If you have a high pagerank website do that and you may see an increase in pr to your other pages.

4) Monitor your search engine rankings for your keywords. If a particular keyword looses ranks work on that keyword. It means get backlinks so it regains position. Use the keyword in the anchor text of each backlink but always change it a bit now and then. Changing a bit means add a word or two different with the keyword. For example if the keyword is blue cars use variations like:

blue cars available
tons of blue cars
blue cars for sale
very fast blue cards

You got the point.

This shows that you can achieve high rankings and it also shows one other important thing to take note of. Choose low competing keywords at first. If you have a new site it is very hard to compete for high competing keywords. Once you gain rankings and pagerank start working on other keywords.

Search engine optimization provides you with monthly free targeted traffic. After initial few months you start getting traffic and then lots of it. People using Google are more likely to buy than those using other search engines so monitor your rankings on Google and aim for the top rankings.

Google is the number one search engine, buyers prefer it simple because it gives the most accurate results.

Article Directory Sites - How They Work as a Promotion Tool

Writing articles related to your book's topic is a great way to drive traffic to your blog or your website. More visibility on the web keeps those little SEO spiders fed and improve your rankings. More exposure means more visitors to your site. The more articles you get out there with your signature line (that includes your web and blog addresses) the more back-links you get.

Each article should be between 300 and 700 words (some allow for up to 3000 but who reads that large of an item on the web unless it is for academic purposes?) and should be key word rich without being key word stuffed. Once you article written, edited for tightness and cohesion, and proofed it is ready to post...after you put it on your blog first! (This is to avoid getting a duplicate content slap on the wrist by some directories.) After the final version of your article is prepared and your resource signature block is perfected (all links to you and your blogs and websites are to be found here and NOT in the articles themselves):

Prepare a list of directories to submit the article

For each submission site the article requires a different title and rework some of the content (change the intro and closing and perhaps add an extra point of discussion)

Submit to no more than 2-3 directories a day. This allows the little spiders to do their work properly.

Now sit back, and watch your traffic increase. As you share your knowledge and expertise you develop an audience who will recognize you as a content authority resulting in more visits to your site. It is a very satisfying experience to watch your articles take on a life of their own.

Are You Wasting Time On SEO?

Onpage optimization is something many new marketers spend most of their time on. Things like keyword density, where they rank, why they are not yet indexed, how to get content, how many to add and many more questions.

Basically all that is useless, which does not mean you do not need content. The more content you have more pages are in the search engines, and more changes are there to people find you. However, it is a better idea to focus on optimizing your homepage to rank for one keyword at first. After all , your homepage is probably the page which must convert visitors into buyers. It's the best page you have to make money.

Some article pages on your website, may take a long time to rank anywhere. Remember that just because they are indexed does not mean they get any traffic. Far from it.

Even though blogger, the platform powered by Google is something you may use to create content. It is better than creating articles on new website pages, because blog posts on Blogger, seem to rank faster than any other blog platform like wordpress or your normal webpages. A blog offers your visitors the ability to add comments too, that is free content for you, even though little. It is easy bookmarked in social bookmarking sites, for free traffic and some more backlinks.

The other thing is keyword density. Basically even though I have many high rankings, I never do anything apart from meta tags. I used to do, but not anymore... I focus my time on link building and that's it. After all we have better things to do then searching for that perfect keyword density. It has little importance in the eyes of the search engines.

Meta tags are important though. The meta title and meta description is what people will read when they see your website in the search engines, and click on it to visit your site. The meta title is the title that links to your page. So those must not be full of keywords, because if so even if you get number one position your visitors will simple not visit your website.

It must be a good description, something that shows what your website main benefits are, so you grab peoples attention as quickly as possible.

It is also something search engines do not want, and known as keyword stuffing. So do not even try to use it not even in the meta keyword section. There are free tools online that create your meta tags, and once you do it once, you will understand how it is done. It is not rocket science.

I said many things about onpage optimization but I am going to mention the most important thing called Internal Linking. This is the other thing I do in my website, apart from meta tags.

Again, I do not waste time on it. Use it with caution, do not over use because with this method your website will appear ugly and your visitors will rush away not buy. Internal linking simple refers to when you link from one page of your website to another. Like from your blog or sitemap to your homepage.

Instead of the old way of using Homepage in the anchor text, which are those blue words in the link. You now use the keyword you want your homepage to rank for. Again pay attention so visitors still understand that links takes them to the homepage.

I like to use this method from my blog, within articles or blog posts it is more powerful, and your visitors will not get confused. Do not use it in your website menu, because your visitors are important as much as the traffic you get.

So do a quick, onpage optimization. Focus on meta tags and link building. That's how to optimize your website the right way without time.

Profitable Article Marketing - Revealed - 4 Outstanding Ways to Make Money Through Article Marketing

If there is one easy way to make money online, it is through writing and distributing your articles to various publishing sites. This process which is commonly referred to as article marketing can effectively drive quality traffic to your website and augment your sales potentials.

Here are the 4 outstanding ways to make money through article marketing:

1. Constantly improve your writing skills. This is one of the most effective secrets if you want to get ahead of the pack. Make it a habit to write articles on a regular basis or read articles and ebooks that can effectively help you smoothen out the rough edges of your writing. By doing so, you can be assured that you will be able to deliver better articles each time you write.

2. Create killer resource box. If your resource box contains your website's URL alone, you are missing a lot of opportunities. To make it work for you, make sure that you include your name, your title, your elevator pitch and your powerful call to action. You can also offer incentives or communicate your desire to help to make it even more enticing.

3. Multiply the number of your articles. One of the elements that can guarantee you success in article marketing is the quantity of your output. Remember, the more articles you submit, the more quality inbound links you will obtain for your website.

4. Outsource. If you are like most webmasters who are always swamped with other marketing activities or someone who doesn't have a knack for writing, you can still utilize this marketing tool by hiring ghostwriters or article posters. Just make sure that your ghostwriters understand your niche very well and have the ability to create articles that are targeted to the needs and demands of your potential clients.

Mixing Article Writing and PR - How-to Jumpstart Mega Publicity

Article promotions and public relations are closely related in the form that they both produce publicity. Combining the two practices can produce an enormous amount of mega exposure. PR allows you to deliver a message to the media and communicate with the public. Writing articles shows your expertise and positions you to gain public exposure.

Combining these two practices together can create mega publicity as well as a strong branding position. The more published opportunities you receive the more branding awareness you will experience. Once you add public relations this will increase publicity by allowing others to write a piece about you.

Try writing on a subject and then submit a media release on the same subject to the public. What this will do is credit you as an expert through the editorial related to the subject. The media release will communicate the message you want to send to the public via the press concerning the subject matter.

Mixing Articles and PR:

1. Topic Selection

Make sure that the piece that you write about is one that is also considered newsworthy to translate into a media release.

Examples:

Article: How to Manage Money Simple and Easy

Media Release: Expert Reveals How to Manage Money Simple and Easy

2. Promotion Sources

Start by submitting your article to a top article promotion website like Ezine Articles and then submit your release to the press via PR.com, they offer free press release services.

3. Blog Promotions

Promote the article on your own website blog and also in other website blogs. Reference the media release also in your blog and other website blogs.

The image of how the public perceives you are important to what kind of message you want to deliver. Using these two publicity builders to increase exposure adds value to your bottom line. At the end of the day, it is how you delivered your message that gets the most response. Positioning your brand to be a leader is always the best reward.

Article Marketing Secrets - How To Get Rid Of The Writers Block Forever!

Writers block is a really big problem and I am going to give you some tips to be sure that you always have something to write. When you write articles for a living, you can't afford to stay one hour or more in front of your computer without actually typing your money making words.

Let's see what are the exact steps you can follow to get rid of this problem...

Get out of the grey zone.

If when you come in front of your laptop and don't know what to write, it may be an alert. I mean that your mind could be in the "grey zone".

Get out of the grey zone as soon as you can. Many writers don't realize that their mind need to have some rest, like their body.

Can you imagine running for 4 hours non stop? Nobody will do this, but writers are doing it. They can sit down and write as much as twenty articles in less than 24 hours.

Some of them are doing this several weeks in a raw.

This is bad for your mind.

Another problem is that writers think that if they have some rest or sleep an hour or two, they will get themselves out of the "grey zone". This is not true.

You don't need to relax your mind only to be able to write quality articles. You also need to take care of your body. If you don't practice any physical activity, your mind will suffer. Please understand that your mind and your body are one.

You absolutely need to do something. For example, you could run twenty minutes every morning or do some push ups. I don't care, but do something.

If you follow my tip above, writers block will become a remembrance of the past.

Article Marketing Bootcamp: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Your Content

Creating content is one of the Article Marketer's biggest jobs. One of the best ways to create content is to simply repurpose IP (intellectual property) that you've already got laying around. Leveraging existing material saves time and energy, and helps you integrate your article marketing more seamlessly with the work it supports. Take a tip from our eco-warrior friends and reduce, reuse and recycle what youve already gone to so much trouble to create - and give your article marketing productivity a boost in the process.

Leveraging your content for fun and profit

The key to increasing your article marketing results without working your fingers to the bone is leverage - in this instance meaning the ability to increase your return on investment by maximizing the potential of any given resource. Leveraging your content involves viewing it as a persistent and mutable resource rather than a disposable, single-use product. Of course there are times when you may have nothing to work with at hand or are entering new article territories and have to start from scratch. But starting over every time you need to produce content on a subject for which you have already created existing and extensive material is simply a poor use of your time and energy.

Write once, publish endlessly

Written an ebook, program or other IP? Great! Reuse this content by summarizing (reducing) chapters or even reprinting short sections as discrete articles. Once you've done that, you might even try reducing the essence of the entire ebook into a single article - it's great practice for writing book summaries for potential print publishing agents. Plus you can then turn around and plug your ebook or program in the resource box!

Likewise, you can create articles out of existing programs, seminars or workshops by distilling each section or class into a single article (or article series, if the work is complex). These articles can then be compounded into a supplementary ebook or workbook to provide you with even more salable IP. As above, don't forget to promote your seminar or workshop in your resource box that goes out with each related article.

And don't forget to go looking for articles within articles. If you've read Article Marketing Bootcamp: The Anatomy of an "Article Marketing" Article, you'll recognize this entire article as an expansion of a section on content creation from that article. Likewise, sift through your own existing articles to see if there are bits and pieces in there that could be fleshed out into full-length articles. Top Ten lists and the like are perfect for this. Each list item can become the topic of a full article and the articles combined become the basis for an article series, which can then be combined into an ebook, program workshop and so on - coming full circle with the section above. But there's no need to stick with just your list-based articles. Any article that makes more than one central point has the potential to be broken down into several in-depth offspring.

Mining for online gold

Create article content by recycling your online content. Of course, your blog is the obvious first stop to find great article seeds or even complete ready-to-submit articles, depending on your blogging style. But there are other options as well.

Scan through your discussion list posts, helpful emails to friends, Yahoo! Group exchanges and other such sites looking for any unfinished pearls of wisdom that you can polish up into full-fledged article gems. You will need permission to use other people's contributions (comments, replies and so on) verbatim, but if you want to avoid that you can simply paraphrase or rewrite their responses in your own words. Just make sure that your version is substantially different from their original words, so there's no hint of copyright infringement.

And stop by your website on the way back. Your FAQ, informational pages, resource pages and other visitor-focused content can often be expanded, combined or simply reformatted to build several helpful articles. Of course, these articles should be information rich and not simply promo or marketing pieces - focus on the subject of your work, not your company.

Working smarter, not harder

Recycling your content is not only good for saving time and getting the most out of every word, it's also good business. Repurposing your existing material across several different contexts and forms strengthens your brand - no matter where in your continuum of content potential customers find themselves, the material they find will be comfortably familiar, conceptually consistent and internally self-reinforcing. In other words, your content will always look and feel like a part of a well-conceived whole, rather than separate pieces of topically related work.

Recycling saves time, energy and mental wear and tear. It allows one spate of creativity to serve several different needs. And it provides the writer with a nearly limitless potential for leveraging their concepts and creations into a cohesive and integrated body of work. In short, it is a magic wand that creates the biggest content bang for the smallest labor buck.

Reuse, reduce and recycle. And thenreap your rewards!

Gain Customers Through Articles

Article marketing is not a new Internet marketing tool. This marketing tactic has proven itself to successfully bring increased traffic to your website and, subsequently, increased sales. If you are not writing articles about your product or industry start now.

How does this work? The process is easy.

Write content rich articles relating to your website and submit them to "free content" submission sites. The process is easy to do and it will take some upfront time but you know your business. You know your product. You know the value of what you sell for your customers. Put that knowledge in the form of an informative article and it can increase your website traffic, sales and subsequently, your income.

How can article writing boost traffic and income?

Every article you submit to an article directory contains a link to your own website. If your article was valuable to the reader they may choose to click on the link and pay you an unexpected visit. The best way for someone else to market your website is when a webmaster publishes your article on their site for content. Your link remains active and the visitors to that site can read your article and click on your link. The more webmasters who use your article, the better for you.

Continue to write webpage content articles about your product, service, or industry. As the list of your published articles grow larger, and more and more of them are appearing on different websites, the total number of links back to your site increases. Ensure that all the links do not come back to the same page. 'Deep links' means that each article links back to a different page on your website. Choose the page that closely coordinates with your article. The readers of your article are already interested in that topic so linking them back to your site, containing more information on the same topic, keeps the reader as a visitor on your web site longer.

Many of the Readers already have specific things they need but cannot decide yet between the many choices online. When they read one of your articles, gets interested by the contents you wrote, and visits your site they feel like you have provided them with the information they needed and purchase from you. See how easy that is?

The second value of this is that the major search engines are placing a lot of significance on incoming links to websites so they can determine the importance of a certain site. The more incoming links your website has from all your published articles, the more importance the search engines attaches to it. All the new link activity will increase your website's placement in the search results.

Search engines do not just index the websites, they also index published articles. All of the activity derived from your articles gives you a higher ranking which turns in to being closer to the first page when individuals search for your product/service. There are other techniques you need to know, including keywords and keyword phrases, to be as successful with this marketing technique as possible.

If you think about it, only a few minutes of your time is spent on writing one article and submitting to a free content site. In a short span of time that article is distributed to more sites than you can think of. Even before you know what is happening, you are getting more visitors than you previously had. Write more articles, get more traffic. Consider submitting to several article directory sites or use an article distribution service and really watch your web site visits and your sales increase.

If you think you are wasting your time writing these articles, fast forward to the time when you will see them printed and wide-spread on the internet. Not to mention the sudden attention and interest that people are giving your website and your products or services.

Sensational Article Marketing - 2 Vital Tactics To Provocative Article Marketing

The title of your marketing article will decide it's success or failure -- plain and simple!

Here are two of my favorite ways to insure you create a killer title for your marketing article using your researched niche and keywords.

Another great tip is that you can use the same keyword 2 times in some cases and really grab the search engines attention but you have to be clever. Right now we are focused on our readers. These are just examples and no specific marketing keywords are used here.

Here are 2 vital tactics to provocative article marketing:

1. Ask a question in the title using your niche marketing keywords. For example:

Do You Make These 4 Stupid Mistakes When Asking Someone Out On A First Date? This May Be The Reason You're Sitting Home Every Weekend!

Are You Embarrassed To Smile? Try These "Secret" Home Whitening Remedies And Never Be Ashamed To Show Those "Pearly Whites" Again!

2. Offer "How To" advice using your bum marketing keywords. For example:

How To Win Back Your Old Flame's Affection In Three Easy Steps - Do This And You'll Quickly Mend Your Broken Heart!

How To Effortlessly Sweep Your Spouse Off Her Feet -- Wine Her And Dine Her -- And Make Her Wonder Who The Great Imposter Is -- All For Less Than $15.

Make sure you spend at least 50% of your efforts on the "TITLE" of your marketing article! This is extremely important. If your title isn't full of benefits for it's readers, chances are the article won't even get read... so spend a lot of time on it...

One of the most important aspect of any business is advertising the product or service. The credit for the success, or the blame for the failure of almost all sales copy, article or ad, reverts right back to the original source. The opening headline.

Seven Top Article Marketing Websites

There are several different ways you can benefit from article marketing, from attracting traffic and raising your search engine rankings to earning cash for your articles. Here's an overview of some of the top sites out there for making money and attracting traffic with your articles.

Ezine Articles. This website's articles are always at the top of the search results for relevant content, and they've been around a long time--they're a great place to get started in article marketing. Not every article marketing site has a review process, but Ezine Articles takes time to review each article that's submitted. A link from them will definitely help your rankings and bring in traffic.

IdeaMarketers. This directory is more business-focused, and it allows you to bid for top placement on their home page. If you're writing to a business audience, it may be a good place for you to reach your demographic.

GoArticles. This site has been in business for a few years, so it has a good track record of success. Its content also comes up frequently in search engines. Links from this site will help your site's search engine rankings, and its search engine visibility will help you attract traffic.

iSnare. This site isn't free; they charge a monthly fee depending on how many articles you plan to submit per month. For the monthly fee, they will distribute your articles to a wide range of sites; its possible to generate hundreds of links to one article through this site.

Article Alley. This site has been around since 2004. One of the things I like about Article Alley is that it's part of a network of article sites, including A1 Articles, Women's Articles, and Article Heaven. If the editors feel your content is appropriate for one of these partner sites, they'll post it there, too--complete with links.

Associated Content. It's a different kind of article marketing--one that pays you for each time a reader views your articles. This site is more for direct payment than for generating traffic, and they don't give you the option of publishing a resource box for your site. However, if you write an article on a popular topic, you might earn some cash for your writing.

Constant Content. Like Associated Content, Constant Content is a place to earn money for your articles--not traffic. On Constant Content, you can sell your articles directly to buyers.

Article marketing is a great way to market your website, no matter what industry you're in. Write on topics that are relevant to your industry and interesting to your readers, and your next article marketing campaign is sure to be a success.

Article Marketing - What Is the Market Telling You?

Most article writers are willing to share their knowledge in return for two things:

  1. so that people click through to their website and possibly make a purchase of something or
  2. so that ezine owners copy the article to their site and the article allows click throughs

So, obviously, the important thing to just about every article writer is the click through to their website. To facilitate that writers need to:

  • write about subjects that people want to read about - that's first and foremost
  • write an intriguing headline that will attract attention
  • construct an interesting teaser or summary to draw readers into the body of the article
  • provide relevant keywords which will allow the article to be found in a search
  • write an article that is interesting enough for the reader to want to know more
  • construct a "Resource Box" for the reader to click on that promises even better information

Now, readers are fickle. They don't spend much time reading anything if it doesn't hook them straight away. The vast majority will skip over a poor headline or a teaser that doesn't promise them a heck of a lot and they will click away from your article faster than turning off a light switch if you do not provide the VERY BEST of all the points listed above. And even if you do provide all of those things then the click-through rate (CTR) is usually very low. That is why so many people write hundreds and even thousands of articles. They know that with such low CTR's they need a vast number of articles to create a trickle of traffic. And so they pump out article after article - many of which are dubious in nature and contain nothing in the way of any value for the reader. Readers therefore become impatient of wading through dozens of useless articles that give them NOTHING.

What can you do?

The market - impatient and skeptical readers - is looking for information. If you fail to provide it then your return for your effort as an article writer will be zero. You need to give in order to get. But so few give their readers anything. Many writers expect to write completely banal and useless articles that contain nothing of value then receive click-throughs. If your click through rate is extremely low then the market is telling you that it does NOT like your work. Get better at what you do. Provide better information. Write about more interesting subjects.

How do you do that?

Actually, it's quite easy. If you have written 10 or 20 or 30 or more articles compare them. Which ones got the best CTR's and which ones were flops? Write more articles like the ones that got the best CTR. Don't write flops. All you are doing is clogging up the internet with useless information that nobody wants to read anyway. You are wasting everybody's time, including your own.

Yeah, I know that some people throw a mish-mash of keywords together to try to take advantage of "Adsense" advertising. I call this NONsense advertising. People just want to click away to get out of the rubbish that they are in. Don't be a provider of rubbish because your name will then be associated with it. We all know the names of writers who provide extraordinary amounts of junk articles for others to wade through.

Compare your statistics.

Let me give you an example from my own personal stats. I have an article that has had 1304 views for ZERO clicks and I have another one which has had 2667 views for 400 clicks - a 15% CTR! Which one do you think I am going to use as a model for future articles on that topic? It's a no-brainer. Similarly, you can make comparisons in your own statistics to see what works and what doesn't.

If you give your market (the readers) what they want then you will see a dramatic rise in your CTRs. Keep pumping out junk and you will get what you deserve. The market is telling you what it wants. Provide it.

Unfortunately, I don't have an Article Marketing website. But I do have a wealth creation website. So, if you think that I have presented you with valuable information in this article and you want to know about how to make a lot more money and increase your personal wealth then, click Here.
