If you are in Internet marketing, you are probably familiar with Bum marketing. Bum marketing techniques are proved and extremely effective techniques that can get you generate income over a period of time without any investment. 1. Trying to write the perfect article- Often people spend too much time thinking and analyzing what to write. In the process they spend way too much time and effort in writing an article. Over a period of time, they lose faith in article marketing primarily because they do not get the expected sales for their endeavors. Remember that you should not spend too much time in crafting an article. Allocate some time every day to write articles and target completing at least five articles every day. These articles should be informative and related to the niche you are targeting.

2. Spending too much time on keyword research- While keyword research is important, spending too much time on key words to write articles is not wise. You should rely more on common sense than keyword research when you write your articles. Instead of spending time on keyword research, you could better use the time to write articles on a popular affiliate product.

3. Give the prospects a reason to buy-When you are writing articles ask yourself what you are conveying in your articles. For example if you're trying to promote and affiliate product you must give the readers the reasons to buy the product. Walk through the advantages and the features of the product. Explain how the product would help them achieve their needs and how does that product stand out from the competition.

4. Create multiple accounts for the article submitting websites- To get the best results, have multiple accounts on ezine and goarticles. By having more than one account, you are increasing your chances of having your articles ranked by Google. Writing two articles with the same set of keywords will improve your rankings and sometimes you can have both the articles listed in the first page of Google.

5. Submitting the same articles to different websites: DoN'T submit the same article to different websites because it affects the ranking of your articles in Google. Instead work around your articles and create similar content and submit them to different websites.

Article marketing of course is the process of writing articles, embedding them with links to your website, and submitting them to the various online directories that accept articles for online publishing. Article marketing in my opinion is one of the best ways to get quality, responsive traffic to your website. However, with article marketing, if you really going to make a full-time income out of it, you have to write prolifically. Many days I write over 20 articles per day. I do not do it because it is fun, I do it because it is lucrative.

I have to admit, it is hard to write 20 articles per day. After I have written about 10 articles, my mind becomes less creative. I think it would be easier to write 20 articles per day, or at least 10 articles per day, if I were writing really long articles, and then breaking them up into smaller articles. But because I do not do that, I have to come up with 10 to 20 new article topics every single day. And that is the most difficult part.

So how do I do it? Or more rightfully so how should you do it?

The first thing to do is to write out 20 article topics at the beginning of the day. That way towards the end of the day, when you get to the 12th article or the 15th article, you do not give up because you are in creative mind, and at this point, cannot come up with any new article titles or topics. This also helps you mentally, because you believe you have not finish the project until you've written at least the 20 articles.

Once I have written 20 article topics, then I begin to write about 300 words about each article topic. I write conversationally, just the way I think about it. I think this makes it easier.

One of the most important things about trying to write 20 articles per day is that you have to be committed to it. You see 20 articles per day times 20 days in the month (I don't work weekends), equals 400 articles per month. If some days you only write 10 articles and some days you only write five articles and some days you don't write any. And maybe a few days you write 20 articles at the end of the month maybe only have 100 articles or 200 articles -- which is much less than half the income from 400 articles.

Here's an outline of post-holiday sales expectations, in perspective. $23 Billion Dollars. That's how much consumers spent online between November 1st and December 16th 2007. From January 1st until the end of October, consumers spent $93.6 billion. Roughly 20% of the year's online business was done in six weeks. The average for the weeks after Christmas is expected to be about $2 billion (per 2006's numbers plus the 18% increase seen over last year's numbers to date). While this is only about 60% of the holiday shopping average of $3.25 billion per week, it's still a sizable amount.

Why the post-holiday season is a great time to continue marketing efforts

The good news is: People still buy after Christmas. This is due both to retailer efforts and seasonal customer behavior.

4. Provide additional support for your website visitors. You have to be willing to give your customers those little extras. Sales in the post-Christmas period are more elusive than during the holiday frenzy. It will be the extras that keep customers coming to you.
