Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses Website SEO Part 8

Design technique has nothing to do with search engine optimisation as it is only an aesthetic consideration. Again, this is about the 'flash'. Content works and 'flash' does not from a search engine optimisation standpoint. You want people to visit your websites. "Hits" mean nothing. You want people to go to your website, click on the information and to read the content. Then you want those visitors to call you about your business.

The title of your website or post is the most important SEO aspect. This combined with good original content will get you first page ranking on the Google search engine. Nothing else will do it. SEO is a consistent building process of 'titled' content that produces links which point to your website.

Newsletters are another content submission area that you can use to make your SEO website marketing campaigns more effective and successful. Newsletters can be tricky to get used to in the beginning, but as with everything, if you persevere long enough, it becomes easy. There are many companies on the internet that you can join for free and start a newsletter. Search for these newsletter companies on Google.

Most newsletter companies do not allow advertising in their newsletters. Make sure you do not write content that advertises anything when posting to these companies. You will need to learn to write original content that does not advertise or promote your services, to be accepted by the editorial staff of these companies. Provide information about your product and or service. Do not advertise. This is where you need to know all the details of your product and service so that you can provide information that can help people succeed in a new business venture or solve existing business related problems.

Make Keyword Rich Content With Ease

The struggle between literate, grammatically correct article composition and keyword seeding should not exist at all. Search engines are able to figure out the relevance of the content on your website to a user's query. Therefore, an article filled with a jumble of keywords will have lesser relevance than a well-written article containing lesser keywords.

Internet marketers who need SEO articles commonly require grammatically correct and literate compositions from SEO writers like me. The more I read and write about how search engines function and how they equate relevance with a high search result ranking, the more I strive to place overall composition above keyword content.

With relevant articles on your website pertaining to your products, ideas or services, you get more chances of directing the correct kind of surfer traffic to your website. Of course, this will mean a decrease in bulky but irrelevant traffic. However, as a search engine user, I find it annoying to see search results that have no connection to what I need to find.

Admittedly, most web masters prefer bulk traffic over highly relevant web traffic. The more the merrier, so to speak. In my experience, surfing the web without any purpose becomes tedious. It gets even more tedious as your experience in web surfing grows. Nowadays, I specifically surf the web with a purpose in mind. Armed with that purpose, I single-mindedly search for what I need.

It would help me to find what I need faster if the descriptive content of your website were relevant to my search. Having a nicely composed descriptive article about the idea or object I am seeking will make your website more useful to me. Because your website has been highly informative and usable, I will return there again to see if you have something that I need.

In having relevant and highly descriptive articles, your website satisfies two totally different necessities. The more relevant necessity for you would be a high ranking search result. The lesser, and often times unnoticed necessity, is that of having satisfied your customer.

The more relevant your content is, the more chances you have of being able to direct your target market to your website. The percentage of people who buy your product will definitely increase as opposed to a decrease in just passing thru or wrong turn traffic. In counterpoint, the more relevant traffic you get, the higher your sales figures go up.

Targeting traffic that isn't really interested in your website almost serves no purpose. I definitely won't try to remember the name of a website that has nothing of what I need. Memory retention of a website by people is very much minimal unless it has served the people well. Furthermore, to be redirected to an irrelevant website by a search engine is very much an annoyance. These websites that bombard their content with nothing but keywords are now getting penalized and banned by search engines so that they can avoid sending people to the wrong place.

How would you feel if directory assistance gave you the wrong listing? Naturally, the supervisor at directory assistance will reprimand the agent who gave the wrong listing. It's the same thing with search engines and web site. Search engines are trying to provide internet surfers with good service in order to gain more traffic. The more traffic they have, the more expensive their advertising space becomes. Along comes a web master who abuses their system so that all traffic is directed to his website. How do you think a search engine operator will react to or against the evil web master?

As a successful Internet marketer I could not find all the niches without key word elite.

Website Content - More Than Numbers And Statistics

When writing website content, like many aspects of online marketing, it is easy to get lost in a wash of statistics and numbers; desired word length, keyword ratio, and the Flesch Kincaid grade level are just some of these numbers. A lot of these numbers assist in creating effective copy, but they should not be treated as a rigid plan to write copy. Each site has different requirements, governed by the topic of the site, the knowledge level of site visitors, and the requirement of the Webmaster.

Content Length

The length of a web page is important, but not necessarily the same for every site, or every page. Blogs will, in most cases, require fewer words than a normal website. A blog needs to deliver a quick hit, because this is what blog readers are looking for. Websites trying to convey a technical subject will probably require the use of more words, and longer sentences.

For the average information websites, sentences should average around 10 words or fewer. Most pages will include longer sentences too. Wherever possible, the longer sentences should be dispersed through the page. This helps ensure the page is easily readable by all visitors. Paragraphs should also be short approximately 4 or 5 sentences.

10 word sentences are very short. It would make a page virtually unreadable if you were to try and construct it entirely in this way. However, shorter paragraphs do help create a compelling looking page. Short sentences also make a page easy and appealing to read.

Keyword Density

The keyword density is the number of keywords in a page, in relation to the total words on that page. Initially, the search engines had a very rigid view on ideal keyword density. More recently, though, they have employed more complex rules. In addition, each of the search engines have different requirements.

Keyword density is a maligned facet of website content and SEO. It is important to include keywords. This ensures that the search engines have a way to recognize the topic of the page. Google, in particular, though, considers the supporting keywords on your page. As well as looking at a specific keyword the search engines also consider the stems of keywords and related keywords.

Ensuring that page copy contains relevant keywords, but not too frequently, ensures that the content reads well. Don't attempt to aim for a specific density. Ensure that the content reads well for your visitors, and the rest will naturally follow.

Flesch Reading Ease And Flesch Kincaid Grade Level

The Flesch Reading Ease test includes a lot of the above factors. This mathematical formula uses total words, sentences, and syllables to ascertain a numerical score. The higher the number, the easier the passage is to read. A score of 90-100 can be easily read by a 5th grader. It is believed that websites with a score of 60-80 are the most effective; this score is equivalent to an 8th or 9th grade reading level.

The Flesch Kincaid Grade Level test uses similar figures. However, the score it provides relates to a US grade level. The ideal score for a typical website is 8 or 9.

As with keyword density, sentence length, and paragraph length, you don't need to stick too rigidly to the advised figures. Your visitors won't calculate the Flesch Kincaid Grade Level of your website, but they do want understandable text.

  • In order to ensure that visitors don't simply click the Back button, you should also ensure that you use shorter paragraphs.
  • The total length of a page also dictates how appealing that page is, in general.
  • The reading age and grade level of the page can be used as a good indicator of how easy that page is to read.
  • If it reads well, and performs well, the numbers don't matter.

Good website content is key to the performance of your site. WebWiseWords creates compelling content on any topic and for any website.

Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses What Is Search Engine Optimisation Part 15

Do not think for one moment that you know what a good keyword is, because you do not. When you first begin your search engine optimisation campaign you need to go after a relatively small keyword category. A relatively small search result on the Google search engine would be a one to ten million results for a keyword or keyword phrase search.

Do not choose a keyword phrases such as 'home based business' and hope to get first page ranking and maintain that ranking on the search engines. That would take you at least six months of continuous SEO focussed work. You need to apply the following procedure when conducting a website marketing campaign if you want to be effective and successful.

Use the selector tool that you have chosen to find and confirm the popularity of the relevant keyword term or phrase that you want placed on the first page of the Google search engine. Then start writing press releases using fresh keyword rich focussed specific content. Remember not to use press releases to advertise your business, product, service or opportunity. Show people the benefits, to them, of using your business, product, service or opportunity.

To advertise is completely the wrong approach. People are sick and tired of being advertised to in order to be sold something. People are looking for good information about aspects that can help them build an effective, profit creating successful business. This is called relationship marketing and is an important key to successful search engine optimisation.

Which Off-Page Factors Matter Most To The Search Engines

Off-Page Factors That Search Engines Look For

The exact way in which the search engines rank the pages of a web site is not known to anyone outside of the inner circle of engineers working for Google, Yahoo, MSN etc. However there are some general principles on what is considered to be positive factors that can influence your rankings.

These factors relate mainly to the quality and quantity of incoming links to your site. Although outgoing links also play a part, they are not as important as incoming links.

Quality of Incoming Links

Quality is based on the perceived importance of the website linking to you. If the link is one way (you dont reciprocate by linking back) it carries more weight than a reciprocal link.

Another factor to consider is the relevance of the page that is linked to. Its no good having a page from a gambling site linking to a page on a health site. The more closely they match the better.

Relevance of On Topic Theme Content

Based on your sites content, the search engines determine the theme of your site and the relevance of your individual pages to your theme. This is one of the reasons why it is so important to focus on a niche topic and not go too broad.

The search engines are looking for sites that appear to be natural and not contrived to beat their algorithms. If your site has lots of incoming links but they all went to the same page, this would not appear to be natural. Similarly if lots of your links come from the same site or even the same server, this would raise alarm signals with the search engines and they could penalise your rankings.

Tip:

Do not try and fool the search engines by purchasing links from so called "link farms" or other dubious schemes. You may succeed for a short while, but the search engines will always catch you out and penalize your site heavily.

In SummarySEO is not an exact science a page could rank no 1 with Yahoo and not even be in the top 100 with Google. Similarly, a page that ranks well today could rank poorly tomorrow. Dont get too involved with trying to figure out what you are doing wrong. Stick to the basics of producing lots of good quality original content related to your niche and get as many quality incoming links as you can.

A good idea is to get some help in the form of step by step instructions and coaching videos designed specifically for newbies.

The Differences of Free vs Paid Directory Submissions

First a web directory is web site that specializes in finding, categorizing and listing links to other resources on the World Wide Web. Owners of web sites can submit their sites for review and possible inclusion. Those sites are then reviewed for relevancy and site content to determine if the site would have value to the other internet surfers.

By using a Web Directory your site can gain backlinks which are like doorways to your website for traffic to flow. They are also considered votes of quality for search engine rankings which brings additional targeted traffic through search related actions. Web Directory links create unique and topically relevant backlinks to your site.

The thing to note is that all links are not created equal. The fundamental difference in directories is free vs paid. The differences between the two are like night and day or BMW and skateboard.

Free Directory

What you get with free directories are an extremely crowded directory where your link will get lost in a crowd of low quality links, less traffic from the directory due to less visibility, much longer time between submission and acceptance, very time consuming as you typically need to submit to hundreds of these to get the value of one link from a quality paid directory and your listing will typically get placed with listings for low quality spam filled sites.

Let's just face facts, most people start a business to generate revenue and a directory is a business. With directories that allow for free submissions the owners look to generate revenue from the site in other ways and those other ways will decrease the quality of the directory.

One way they generate revenue on free directories is by installing adsense on it. Those adsense advertisements compete with the listings on the directory for the visitor traffic and decrease the value of a link in the directory.

The other common way to generate revenue for a free directory is to sell advertising space on it. The idea being to use the lure of a low quality free link on the directory to draw traffic in to see the paid advertisements like site wide sponsored links, site featured links, site wide footer links, site wide partner links and they can call them other things also. Such as our network, friends and the list goes on.

The fact is that search engines devalue web sites that sell placement of site wide links on them and that severely limits the value of a listing on those directories.

Pay for Review Directory

Some of the things which a pay for review directory will bring you and that you should look for are a directory that is maintained by professionals, rich in content with articles and quality resources/listings, unique design with additional features such as deep linking options, quick review times usually 24 to 48 hours and a directory that is focused on providing a destination resource for visitors which generates traffic.

The focus to be a destination resource is easily spotted by features and content. Does the directory provide something in addition to a place to submit links? Is there a blog with content in it? Are there articles posted within the directory category structure? Are there other features that are just there for visitor's enjoyment such as an art gallery?

In addition there should not be any site wide links for sponsors, there should not be distracting/traffic bleeding adsense. A link from a quality paid directory has more value than free links. They are seen as a higher quality endorsement of the sites listed there. It is our hope that this will help you identify a directory that is worth submitting to from one that is not.

The Authority Web Directory is a vital resource in every online-marketing campaign. Begin your link building effort there, and check for additional resources amongst our listings in the Authority Directory of Directories section.

Network Marketing - The Secrets, Tips And Strategies To Success

There are better and more efficient ways to build your network marketing business. The traditional methods are out of fashion and just don't work anymore. Because of this, 95% of the people in this industry are failing.

A reason why most people in this industry are failing is because they fail to constantly generate new leads. Purchasing leads from companies are not the leads you want to spend your time with and cold call to. The best leads you want to spend your time with are the leads you generate because they have come to you and you're not knocking on there door and harassing them with your business opportunity.

You must have a backbone to how and where you generate your leads. Without a consistent flow of fresh new leads you will not succeed in network marketing. I call this backbone a funnel and this is the key to building a very large business and having it succeed.

An auto-responder is an essential tool to your network marketing campaign. Without it you will not be able to keep in contact with your leads and I'm talking about tons and tons of leads (prospects).

Also, you must find your desired target market. These are the people looking for the opportunity and not looking to be sucked into a business.

Follow these strategies and your well on your way to success in the network marketing industry. Remember you control what your prospects read for the rest of time once they enter you're funnel.

Article Marketing Tips - Where To Post Your Articles

If you have decided to use article marketing as a way to promote your website you may be wondering where you should post your articles and if you should bother using the hundreds of article directories on the internet.

Traffic is the lifeblood of any business on the internet and using articles to promote your website is definitely one of the best ways of generating highly targeted visitors for free.

Although writing articles is hard work and time consuming the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages but to make it work you need to know where to post your articles for maximum traffic.

If your main objective is to gain thousands of one way links pointing to your website in order to improve your search engine rankings for a certain keyword you will need to submit your articles to as many article directories as you can to achieve maximum exposure.

Many article directories on the internet do not necessarily generate a lot of traffic for your website but if they have a high page rank (such as PR 4 or PR 5) you will definitely want a one way link from them as they will improve your rankings as well as help your website get indexed quicker by the search engines.

But if your main objective is to actually generate traffic in order to collect subscribers for your opt in list you will only need to submit your articles to a few of the best article directories that receive the majority of visitors.

By far the best article directory which generates the most traffic is called Ezine Articles but there is one other which you should also use which is called Go Articles. If you only submit your articles to these two you will attract a lot of visitors to your website and collect a lot of subscribers.

So deciding where to post your articles really depends on what your actual objective is and whether you want to improve your search engine rankings or just generate traffic. Of course you can always decide to do both.

Posting your articles to hundreds of article directories takes a huge amount of time so if you do want to improve your search engine rankings you should consider using an article submitter that will automatically post your articles to all of the main article directories on the internet.

You can learn more about Instant Article Submitter by going here: http://www.marketingoasis.com/direct/instantarticlesubmitter/

The more exposure your articles get the more likely they will be seen by other website owners and ezine publishers who are looking for content and if your articles are good they will be used on their websites and in their ezines which can result in a sudden surge of subscribers and sales.

Article Marketing - How Do You Motivate Yourself Everyday to Write Articles?

Q: How do you motivate yourself to write articles everyday?

A: You know what? That is a really good question. As I think about it, you are really asking two questions -

1. How do I get motivated to write articles everyday?

and

2. How do I stay motivated to write articles everyday?

Fortunately the answers to either question apply to both questions.

How to get and stay motivated to write articles everyday

I have several tips for you which I will share in bullet point form -

  • You need to write regularly to get and stay motivated. Writing regularly keeps you in the flow of article writing and makes article writing much easier.
  • When you are writing regularly, you see article ideas everywhere.
  • Keep a pad and pen with you or a voice recorder to capture your article ideas as they come. One of the most de-motivating things that can happen is to have a great idea, not capture it, and then not remember the idea when you sit down to write about it.
  • Keep in mind at all times the results of regular article writing and marketing. You may even want to write the results down somewhere that you can see everyday. In addition to the pure pleasure of writing, the results are the most motivating factor for me. I don't hope - I don't think - I know that the more articles I write, the more traffic, prospects, subscribers, customers, fun and profits I am going to have.

Keep all of these tips, especially the results, in mind to get and keep you motivated to write your articles.

And with your permission, I'd like to offer you free access to two of my Article Writing Templates that will help you write everyday. You can download them by going to

Link Popularity: How to Boost Your Rankings

So, after hard and time consuming process you got your web site on the internet, optimized it for certain keywords and cant wait to see it at No.1 position on Google, Yahoo and MSN? Not so fast. First of all, youll need 3 things to be taken care of: on-site optimization, search engine submission and some major work on link popularity building. Theres plenty of information about internal web page optimization on the internet, and its not a secret how to submit all your web pages to Google or Yahoo through their new feed systems. If it is you should educate yourself about the first two elements first, and then worry about link popularity.

The first thing you should do is to listen to what search engines have to say about search engine optimization. Its not a secret that they hate web pages artificially stuffed with keywords or bought incoming links. Such techniques give them a hard time to deliver relevant results to their users. In fact, current search engine ranking algorithms are so advanced that in a lot of cases they can distinguish between natural and bought incoming links.

So, what do search engines have to say about their rankings? Never try artificially boosting your rankings. Dont participate in link farms. Dont buy links. Dont stuff your text with keywords just to get higher rankings. In conclusion do not interfere with their function to deliver relevant and useful information to the user.

Well, its not a bad idea to listen to them for a change. The techniques of getting links that I am going to tell you about are both search engine legal and not so legal. The choice is yours.

The first thing that everyone should do is make the content of their web site useful and informative to people. Doesnt matter what kind of website you have, try to give something useful to your visitors. This can be useful information, some attractions, free service, or anything you may come up with. This may sound banal, but this strategy eventually will pay off. Other web sites will notice that you have something useful and original, and will start linking to you. This is the best and most legal link building strategy anyone can come up with, although it takes the most time and patience.

Second legal choice for building link popularity is through articles. Try to write an interesting article about something you are good at and know a lot. Then find thousands of article submission and publishing web sites that are available on the internet. Use your best friend and enemy at the same time Google to find them. The most important part of the article is the Resources box, where you can use HTML code and place links to your web site.

The next perfectly legal and effective area to build your link popularity is forums. You can find millions of forums on the internet take advantage of them. Post your answers to relevant topics, and dont forget to use HTML and links to your site. It cant get any easier than that, and at the same time, it might help your rankings a lot.

I bet you heard about reciprocal links when you link to some web page, which in exchange places a link to your web page on their site. This strategy may be not as effective as couple of years ago, but it still works. Search engines simply cant ignore links to your webpage. The most important thing to remember about reciprocal linking, as with all other links, is that links from related websites will have much higher impact on your rankings than those from unrelated ones. Also, dont forget the importance of keywords and rephrases in the anchor text without it, your links are close to useless.

Do some research and find websites similar to yours. They dont have to offer exactly same services or information something broad as computers or internet if you are offering web design services is good enough. E-mail their administrators with a request to exchange links. How to persuade them to place a link to you, especially if their web site has good rankings on the search engines thats another subject. Offer something useful in exchange for example, suggest placing a link to them on your home page, while they put the reciprocal link on their partners or resources page.

Find millions of directories where you can submit your web site. Some of them offer free inclusion, some of them ask for a reciprocal link, while others require to be paid for the listing. Whether to pay or not, thats totally up to you, but from my experience, some of their links are worth several dollars that they are usually asking for. Make sure they have substantial Page Rank, and sacrifice several dollars. It will pay off eventually. But to start, try to find countless free directories and submit you web site there.

Finally, time has come for the most controversial and dangerous link building strategy link buying. I dont recommend anyone to use it, but a lot of search engine optimization specialists are utilizing this unfair tactics, placing honest optimizers in serious disadvantage. If you decide to go ahead and buy some links, make sure of two things: the page you are buying a link from has a high Page Rank, and find the links for sale in search engine optimization forums never buy links from the websites that specialize in this. Otherwise, Google will weed your web site out from their index faster than your eyes blink.

In conclusion, I would recommend staying away from unethical link building strategies, and concentrate on long-time goals versus short-term ones. Keep in mind, that if everyone starts buying links and using other unethical search engine optimization techniques, search engines will not be able to deliver relevant results, and eventually come up with new and smarter algorithm to kick such websites out from their indexes. With all the ethical search engine optimization methods I told you about, everyone can build substantial link popularity and get good rankings.

That means your list must composed of people who are genuinely interested on what you do and who are most likely to support your products and services. Remember, it is better to have 200 responsive contacts than 2,000 uninterested subscribers.

Here are the 3 authentic ways to amplify your list building:

1. Utilize web forms. These are online forms that you can present to your potential subscribers in asking for their contact information. To make your forms easy and hassle-free to fill up, ask only for information that you need. Typically, marketers are only asking for full names (to personalize the email messages) and email addresses. If you need more personal information, such as physical address and phone number, you can request for these data after you have establish trust and rapport with your subscribers. Remember, online users are wary about giving too much contact information online due to the rise of identity theft cases and they only share these sensitive data with people they already trust.

2. Send your subscribers with valuable ezine. This is the easiest way to build trusting relationship with your subscriber base. Constantly send them information, tips, links to useful resources, step by step guides, ebooks, tutorials, etc. Make your newsletters interesting to read and let your personality shine through so you can talk to your potential clients in a more personal level. Through this, you can easily build rapport and trust among your subscribers.

3. Make your website a great source of information. Quality content will definitely drive targeted traffic to your website. If your online visitors see that you have valuable things to share, they will most likely to subscribe to your list and they may even recommend your site to other people.

Article Marketing - Discover the Secrets of Successful Article Writing

In spite of what you may have heard there is no secret formula to the concept of article writing, other than it requires a lot of work, because the results of any article marketing strategy is dependent on massive article writing action.

So then, a better question would be - what is the secret to getting the work and massive action done then?

First, start with a few basic ideas to remember:

  • Start out writing about things you already know, or are passionate about
  • The more articles you write and submit, the more opportunity you will have to be published, visited, read, and generate visits to your website.
  • The more articles you write, the faster you will be able to
  • The more articles you write, the less research work time you need
  • Write shorter articles, usually around 325 or so words will meet most article directory requirements - make sure you check each directories specifics

Second, set yourself a structured routine, and plan to follow it regularly:

  • First of all, you must schedule yourself to sit down to write
  • Decide how many ideas (5-10) you are going to write about
  • List all the topics you are going to write about.
  • Next, write a title for each of the articles.
  • Then, begin to write, until you finish all 5 - 10 articles in one sitting

Third, submit each of these articles to your top 5-6 article directories daily or at least weekly.

Finally, submit selected articles to a list of 100 - 150 directories regularly, weekly, or at least monthly.

The only secret of article writing is discipline, schedule, and massive action - sometimes called work!

Article Marketing - How to Write 20 Articles per Day

Article marketing of course is the process of writing articles, embedding them with links to your website, and submitting them to the various online directories that accept articles for online publishing. Article marketing in my opinion is one of the best ways to get quality, responsive traffic to your website. However, with article marketing, if you really going to make a full-time income out of it, you have to write prolifically. Many days I write over 20 articles per day. I do not do it because it is fun, I do it because it is lucrative.

I have to admit, it is hard to write 20 articles per day. After I have written about 10 articles, my mind becomes less creative. I think it would be easier to write 20 articles per day, or at least 10 articles per day, if I were writing really long articles, and then breaking them up into smaller articles. But because I do not do that, I have to come up with 10 to 20 new article topics every single day. And that is the most difficult part.

So how do I do it? Or more rightfully so how should you do it?

The first thing to do is to write out 20 article topics at the beginning of the day. That way towards the end of the day, when you get to the 12th article or the 15th article, you do not give up because you are in creative mind, and at this point, cannot come up with any new article titles or topics. This also helps you mentally, because you believe you have not finish the project until you've written at least the 20 articles.

Once I have written 20 article topics, then I begin to write about 300 words about each article topic. I write conversationally, just the way I think about it. I think this makes it easier.

One of the most important things about trying to write 20 articles per day is that you have to be committed to it. You see 20 articles per day times 20 days in the month (I don't work weekends), equals 400 articles per month. If some days you only write 10 articles and some days you only write five articles and some days you don't write any. And maybe a few days you write 20 articles at the end of the month maybe only have 100 articles or 200 articles -- which is much less than half the income from 400 articles.

How Article Marketing Can Sell Your Affiliate Product

In today's competitive business market, having a real edge over all the rest is a must have aspect of increasing sales and driving customers to your website. Article marketing via the web has evolved into one of the most effective sales techniques for the ever-growing technological world of today.

Here's how you can easily use articles that will grab the reader's attention and greatly increase the sales of your affiliate products.

Be Irresistible

You yourself don't actually have to worry so much about being irresistible to potential clients or customers, but your article must be in order to set it apart from all the rest. How can you draw people to your website, entice them so they'll want more information, and also lure them in with the prospect of getting an incredible deal of some sort?

That's where the critical aspect of article marketing comes into play: tossing out the bait and waiting for the results to come reeling in.

Offer Useful Enticements

If you're selling an affiliate product, you know that someone else is, as well, so you're now faced with the task of coming up with an angle that not only offers people something useful to drive them to your website, but something that will also leave them wanting more, inevitably increasing sales.

Here are a few examples of "useful enticements" that will help those reading your article make the important decision of continuing on to visit your site.

- Free Sneak Peeks: Offer free chapters or sneak peeks of the product you're marketing to leave people with a taste of what you're all about, and also wanting to learn more. With so much information at your fingertips, the internet can be a daunting place where one has to be on guard to be sure they're getting what they pay for. A free preview shows people you're reliable, serious, and will be able to give them their money's worth. It also doesn't necessarily have to be some type of article, report, or eBook, but could be anything from free trial software to free DVDs or CDs.

- Offer Free Services: Yes, you read correctly, offer your services for free, to a certain degree, of course. If your product is some type of consulting service, offer to give new customers a free 15-minute session or free consultation via email so they can be comfortable before actually buying. The fear of the unknown is often what keeps people from continuing on and trusting a new product or company they've never heard of before. Also, beware of those perpetual freebie-seekers who have no intention of continuing on with your services, otherwise you'll quickly find yourself not making any real profit.

- Questionnaires and Quizzes: People are naturally curious creatures in general, usually showing a great interesting taking both quizzes and questionnaires to find out more about either themselves or something more specific. Quizzes with yes or no answers are the quickest to complete, and also the easiest to compose. Back up the findings of the quiz results with factual and statistical information that proves you to be an expert that can be trusted.

Pay Per Click is Dying - Pay Per Visitor is Tomorrow's Choice

Are you an astute Internet marketer who has been laboriously adding AdSense ads to all of your site pages, hoping that a small percentage of your site visitors will click and make you money? Perhaps you include a few affiliate banners and advertisements for your own products too.

AdSense and affiliate selling have been, and are still popular and many people claim to make excellent livelihoods from them. I've been selling other people's stuff online since 1998 and have generated thousands of dollars income. My AdSense account provides a regular income, but nothing to write home about.

For those who might not be familiar with AdSense, it's a Google program whereby you place Google advertisements aligned with your sites topic on your pages and, when people click on them, you earn Pay Per Click income.

Unfortunately, we Internet marketers cannot set up an income stream and sit back and just wait for it to continue earning income day after day. If for no other reason, the economic law of diminishing returns suggests that eventually we'll reach an income peak and then our income will begin to drop off. When there are millions of html pages in cyberspace with AdSense adverts, the number of total clicks is distributed among a greater number of AdSense clients and therefore, many people get a little bit of income rather than a few people getting a huge income. (There are of course exceptions)

So, what's the solution?

The solution is to diversify and be an early adopter of new technology and methods. By diversifying we can have some small assurance that while some income generating activities are running poorly, others will keep us going. By adopting new technology, we get in early on the first wave of interest from consumers. In some cases, where a multi-level marketing approach is used (unlike with AdSense), it's possible to set up a comfortable residual income that continues flowing in well after the trend has become obsolete or less popular.

The newly emerging marketing technique called Pay Per Page (PPP) is tomorrow's trend and an interesting change from Pay Per Click that requires a conscious action on behalf of a site visitor. With PPP people only have to visit a page for five seconds for site owners to earn money.

How does this work? Simple, website owners place a piece of Javascript on their pages and when someone visits a five second audio advertisement occurs. The audio is only heard once by a visitor. Unlike PPC, PPP does not require a visitor to do anything. A commission is paid for every visitor. Can you see how superior this method is to PPC where only a small percentage of people who visit click on an advertisement?

Another distinct benefit for early adopters is that this program, commencing soon, has a multi-tier payment structure whereby adopters can also receive a part commission based on what their sign-ups earn. Like all multi-level-marketing programs, if you get in on the ground floor, work hard to sign-up a few hundred people, you can generate some healthy income. There are literally thousands of exemplars pointing at the success of this type business model.

Needless to say, this evolving model will eventually succumb to the laws of diminishing returns too, but those of us who are early adopters will have a nice period of high earnings until the next whizz-bang marketing method arrives.

Article Marketing - How You Can Massively Increase the Effectiveness of Your Articles

Article Marketing is something that thousands of people do to drive traffic to their websites. It's no secret that a well written article can be thought provoking enough for readers to want to know more about either you or your services. So, what do they do? They click on your link in your resource box. But are you making effective use of understanding the conversion rates for the clicks that you get?

From my own perspective, my main interests are in motivation, wealth creation and self defense. These are the subjects that I write about most often. However, I am departing from that here because I have discovered something that I think will be of benefit to all article writers.

I don't write about things like "the best sexual positions" or "cell phone number spying" or "how to increase your penis size" or "how to shave your pubic hair" or "how to tell if your spouse is cheating on you" or any other such subjects that get tens of thousands of hits. Why? Quite simply I don't have a website on any of those things that could take advantage of the traffic it would bring.

Now here is something that you will probably find interesting...

I have over 250 articles all over the web in hundreds of "far-flung" places and in many different languages. This number of articles will show significant trends when viewed in terms of statistical anaysis.

I know which articles are "ball-bursters" and which are complete flops. So, what does that tell me? Write more articles (in my domains of knowledge and interest) that are popular - obviously! What is the point of writing articles that nobody else wants to read? Now here comes the interesting bit...

By analyzing the results of these articles I am able to see which ones are giving me the most click-throughs to my websites. Time for a little mathematics...

If I have 1,395 click-throughs from 170,424 views of my articles then my conversion rate is 0.82%. That tells me that for every thousand people who read my articles only 8 will be interested enough to go to one of my websites. Pretty horrendous huh? Then again, there are millions of articles on the web and people's time is at a premium. A reader has to be REALLY interested to make that click.

So, if I have some articles - which I do - that are returning the following statistics, what does that tell me?

  • 8 from 23 ( conversion rate 34.8%)
  • 400 from 2,667 (15%)
  • 28 from 154 (18%)
  • 191 from 1736 (11%)
  • 23 from 81 (28%)
That tells me that these particular articles SMASH my average. Hmm. So, what else does that tell me? Here is what I think...

  1. - The headline REALLY worked because it attracted attention
  2. - The article summary/teaser REALLY worked because it made people curious
  3. - The copy (article body) REALLY worked because it contained good information
  4. - The resource box REALLY worked because people wanted to know more.

So, now, what do you think I should do?

  1. - Write more headlines like that
  2. - Write more summaries/teasers like that
  3. - Write more articles like that
  4. - Write more resource boxes like that

The other thing - which I have not yet analysed in depth - is that the keywords REALLY worked. I need to look at that more.

So what is my point is this?

Watch what your statistics are telling you. Once you get the "formula" correct then all it requires is for you to stick with it and you will see a LOT more click-throughs to your websites than you thought was possible. I may have more to say on this later. Stay tuned...

This has been a "Public Service Announcement" from me to you purely for your benefit because I don't have an Article Marketing website. But if you want to know how to make a lot more money and increase your personal wealth then click HERE

Targeted Article Marketing - Latest 5 Interesting Steps to Increase Your Article Marketing

Writing and distributing articles over the internet can really increase not only your website traffic, but ultimately your sales potential. This is one method, that when done perfectly, can bring you enormous profits and unbelievable success.

1. Decide what product to promote. If you are most webmasters who are offering various but related products, you must be able to identify one product in mind when writing a specific article. For instance, if you are selling laptops, desktops, computer accessories, and computer warranties, you need to create at least one article per product to better promote them.

2. Leave your readers wanting for more. This approach is especially effective for webmasters who are selling ebooks, reports, or e-courses. How does it work? First you write articles that are deemed useful to your target market but purposely make them incomplete. Leave the most important part out so can pique the curiosity of your readers and leave them wanting for more. This curiosity usually leads to purchases!

3. Make your articles about tutorial or tip list. These are the type of articles that are most read by online users because they are easy to follow and understand and they are relatively easy on the eyes.

4. Make your articles useful. They must contain relevant information that targets your readers' needs and wants. Strive to give your potential audience with data that are not commonly seen on other websites. When you are able to provide useful, unique, and quality content, you will surely establish a strong readership in no time.

5. Publish your articles to various publishing sites, ezine directories, announcement lists, on your blog and other avenues to give your articles great online exposure.
