Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is

There are probably a thousand and one ways to improve link popularity for your website so that it can rank well in the search engines. Many come and go but article marketing and content publishing still remains effective even till today. The search engines exist for content and this fact is not about to change. Articles and content work by attracting targeted traffic, get more links to your website and help your site rank well in the search engines.

Quite simply, your article has to be relevant to the theme of your website. It has to contain the right keywords, both in the article title as well as the content for the purpose of keyword targeting and SEO. While doing so, do pay attention to creating content that provides useful information to your potential readers.

Creating a good article can improve your link popularity when your visitors bookmark your site at the social bookmarking sites. They may even mention your website to their friends or for that matter share with their subscribers. It is possible that they even publish your article on their websites and credit you with a backlink to your website.

From what we can see, writing good articles is the way to go. Imaging having more articles published and indexed in the major search engines. This can bring you a lot of traffic. In each article that is submitted, be sure to set up the author resource box correctly. Make sure the link to your website is working properly. It helps also to include a statement giving your readers the right to reprint or publish your article on their sites provided nothing is changed. Each publisher who decides to post your article on their high PR site means one more powerful link to your website.

Where do you submit the articles to? Article directories are the places where you want to post them to improve link popularity. These are free to submit and just one article can make a whole lot of difference to your web traffic. Due to time constraint, you may not be able to optimize the whole traffic building process by submitting to hundreds of article directories.

If time is a problem to you, target only the best ones that are highly favored by the search engines like EzineArticles, GoArticles and ArticleBase. There are others which are worth considering also. Once again, do not forget to place your website link at the author resource box. Otherwise, your article posting becomes worthless and will not help to improve link popularity at all.

Articles that are well written can be used for other purposes as well to improve link popularity. They can be used as content for newsletters and ebooks. On the overall, writing an article for submission remains a great way to drive more traffic to your site.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

If you know how to use SEO to get a high listing in search engines, or are an expert in search engine optimization for high Google listings, then you need read no more of this article. Your website obviously has at least one page in the top 10 of Google, MSN and Yahoo, and you have as much traffic as you need for your success.

However, if not, then you need some advice. You need to understand the basics of search engine optimization. Incidentally, what the basics are to you may not be basics to others. Basics to some are the correct use of LSI (latent semantic indexing), of internal linking strategies and of other techniques designed to lead search engine spiders by the hand and convince them that their site is the tops. Can you do that?

If not, then here are one or two tips. Good SEO is a lot more than just having your page title in title tags and your heading in H1 tags. It is more that just having the correct keyword density do you know what that is? The vast majority of people dont have the slightest clue about keyword density or what it means. Formulae said to relate to keyword density and the number of words in the key phrase as a function of the number of times the phrase should appear in a web page are mediaeval in internet time.

Do you know what? Google doesnt give a toss about your calculations. Google cares about the service you are providing to Google customers and how relevant the content of your web page is to their needs. To find that out, Google applies a statistical mathematical equation based on statistical analysis of semantics as related to the specific keyword being used by the searcher, and the semantic content of your web page.

Google doesnt care if you have exactly 15 incidences of your keyword every 500 words in fact if you do, you have no chance because that is now excessive. Keyword stuffing or keyword spamming they call it! Yet people still write articles packed full of keywords in the mistaken belief that it will be good for them. Who is still telling them that?

So lets forget keyword density. Its old SEO and no longer relates to Googles needs. Internal linking: now theres a new thing to most people, even though it has been relevant for the past few years. By intelligent use of internal linking you can lead your friendly neighbourhood spider down any web you can weave for it. And you will benefit greatly by doing so, if you know where you should be leading it.

Internal linking strategy is a different concept entirely to an external lining strategy involving one way or two way reciprocal links back to your web page from that of another website. Most people are involved in that, but also most dont know how to do it properly, and therefore lose out. Let me give you a simple example.

You have a website with a page rank of 4 for your home page. Note that it is not your whole site that gets a Google PageRank, as it is properly written, but each individual page in your site is individually ranked. When you come across a website with a PR of 4 or even 8, it is the page you are looking at that has that PageRank. That will generally be the home page, and when you agree to a reciprocal link, guess what! Your link will be placed on a links page in that site with a PR of zero. Thats right, a Google PageRank of zilch: and thats the benefit you will get. Zilch!

If you place their link on your home page, or any other page with a PR of greater than zero, you lose out. Even if your page has a Google PageRank of only 1, THEN YOU LOSE OUT!! They get a share of your PR of 1, and you get a share of their PR of zero!

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, and then tell me I dont know what I am talking about as many have. Some of these many are so-called internet gurus and SEO experts that fleece you by promising you a Google Page 1 position for your site, when they cant even get one for themselves.

If a site offers you a top 10 position, check out their position by using their URL. If they were so good, wouldnt they be in the top 10 for their URL? I would have though so! But NO.

So, do what you can to understand what Search Engine Optimization is. What it really is not what some would want you to believe what it is. Check out the source code of successful sites and compare it to the unsuccessful sites and try to spot differences. If you cannot, then it is the linking strategies that make the difference. Whatever strategy you use, however, make sure that you fully understand it and that you are using it as it should be used. There are links and links some better than others. Some can give you positive results, and some of your links can be very bad for you.

Do you know how to tell the difference? Most cant, and so are led by what they read online. The problem is that since most cant, most of what is written online is garbage. It is difficult to spot the truth from the opinion. It is truth that gets you a good Google or Yahoo listing, not opinion. The problem is that more people believe opinion than truth since they dont know what truth is, and most of what they read is false opinion.

The best advice you can have is to check out the websites that have succeeded and copy what they do. However, that is not as easy as you think since the off-site linking strategy that you cannot see is as important as the on-site SEO that you can see.

If you want screenshots of a website that succeeds, the check out Petes site Article Services that varies from #1 and #4 on Google for the keyword article services, and then find the screenshots and explanation of how he does it on Improved Search Engine Rank. That is how to learn: from successful sites.

If you are doing any kind of article marketing now, you might be doing one of the following:

- promoting affiliate products to make commissions

- promoting your own sales page to sell products

- promoting a so-called Made-For-Adsense blog

- posting articles on your own blog to generate content

And I'll probably get 'killed' for saying this, but your articles are getting wasted.

Very few, and I mean very few, use article marketing solely to build a list. And lots of money is being left on the table, I'm afraid to say.

I basically do all the steps in Bum Marketing (the term created by Travis Sago to describe article marketing) but the difference is I promote a squeeze page to collect leads. The only way anyone can get extra information from me is if they enter their name and email address. I figured, if someone is not willing to give me those details, what more actually paying me online? Let's face it: we are running a business here, not a charity.

The reason why this is effective is because someone who likes your article is 'warmed up', he will want to get more information from you, and an email newsletter is the perfect way to do that.

So go and build a list with your articles. Write and submit multiple articles daily to top directories, and you will see floods (and I mean floods) of traffic and leads. Your lead generation will practically receive an instant boost. Your business will be given a positive kick up the rear from the results you get.

Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

What made Google famous is the decision to measure the value of a website by how valuable links from other websites point to it. There are webmasters (luckily fewer and fewer) that are still sticking to old, useless and even harmful link practices.

So, I will briefly mention some of these as a bad link practices list:

  • FFA (free for all) link programs and link farms
  • Banner exchange
  • Reciprocal Link Exchange
  • Automatic link exchange
  • Link buying

These two excerpts from a Google Webmaster Central Blog post explain it all:

'... Even though improved algorithms have promoted a transition away from paid or exchanged links towards earned organic links;'

'... nowadays search engines reward sweat-of-the-brow work on content that bait natural links given by choice.'

Last week Google dropped the page rank (PR) of many blogs and mainstream news sites presumably as a penalty for selling links. Beware of harmful SEO services and consultants because one of their top tricks is buying high PR links (from themselves, of course) to launch the client's site on the top of SERPs.

You may say, but I just bought a link exchange software, was I mislead? Yes. You'd better forget about using it because it will make you more harm than good. Write for what you know, not for what is selling. Write about your practical experiences and give valuable advices to your visitors.

Provide know-how and working solutions and your visitors will keep on flocking to your site and the long coveted one way links to your site will appear like mushrooms after rain not because of some super exchange technique or three-four figure payment, but because of your helpful valuable unique content. And that is exactly what Google wants too - relevance of the search results. Always make it easy for webmasters to link to your pages by choice providing HTML snippet of linking code.

Avoid above mentioned practices, avoid being involved in any kind of automation exchanges, follow Google own webmaster guide and you will be rewarded sooner or later (probably later) with high rankings and valuable link partners.

Recently I found an article revealing another way (it's called PAD technique) to get these precious one way links to my site. Learn how to obtain one way search engine backlinks to your website.

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

One of the hidden secrets to excel in article marketing is carefully choosing your keywords. Pick the ones that are constantly being used by your target market when they searched for information online. By using the right keywords or search terms, your articles will become highly searchable and you will increase their chances of being opened, read, and hopefully republished.

Here are the other hidden secrets to excel at article marketing:

1. Observe appropriate keyword density. Publishers are now very strict about keyword abuse. They immediately reject articles that contain so many keywords that don't sound natural on the content. Stick with 3% keyword density to stay on the safe side and to increase the chances of your articles being republished on leading submission sites like ezinearticles dot com and goarticles dot com.

2. Hire some help. Manually submitting your articles to hundreds of publishing sites can take so much of your writing time. This can affect your productivity which is not good in your marketing strategies. Hire somebody who can post the articles for you. Although you will need to shell out some money for this, you can buy yourself more time doing what you do best - writing.

3. Stick to the facts. Never overstretch the truth or insert unfounded information on your content to avoid misleading your readers. Before you publish your articles, be sure to double check your content as factual errors can easily tarnish your online credibility.

4. Never advertise on your articles. Don't convert your articles to sales letters and focus on giving your readers what they truly want - information. This is the surest way to move them to click on your resource box where you can post your sales pitches.

Internet marketing is big businessand growing daily.

According to internetworldstats.com, 69% of United States residents now have Internet access, with 17% being the worldwide average. Thats over a billion Internet users, and a reasonable estimate would be that close to half use the Internet for shopping.

It gets better. More Internet users are also acquiring broadband connections, which makes online shopping easier. Compounding those figures, online shoppers are spending more per purchase as companies improve their online offerings.

Men, generally considered unenthusiastic shoppers, have taken to Internet shopping; women like it for research and comparison purposes. And kids? Those too young to drive have found a way to get stuff from the right stores.

These trends should only continueperhaps at steeper rates than ever.

If youre an Internet marketer, you have a lot on your plate. You need to learn technical and creative as well as marketing skills. Many Internet marketers are technologically proficient, and often their technical skills carry over (adequately enough) into computer-aided design. Unfortunately, many Internet marketers mistakenly think that once they have an Internet presence, the work is done.

But a job that may be underestimated in importance is good, solid writing of the old-fashioned variety. Thats a bad thing, because it is words that send traffic to those websites. Whether it be pay-per-click ads, press releases, or concise, informative, interesting, syndicated articles, skillfully crafted words drive the entire sales process.

Thats where a professional article writer can make the difference between success and failure for an Internet marketer.

For best results, look for a writer with a love of writing, a broad portfolio, a top-notch command of the English language, extensive research experience, attention to detail, and basic understanding of Internet marketing. Insist upon guaranteed original-content articles using the keywords you provide and the keyword density you specify.

A boring, confusing, or heavily recycled private label article wont help you sell your products, because people wont finish reading and click the link to your site. They wont pass it along to other readers or post it on their own sites.

Search engines change their ranking algorithms from time to time. A page in your Web site that earned a top ranking last week might drop in the rankings a few months later. Then left untouched, that same page could climb right back into its old search position, although this is unlikely to happen by chance.

The trick to always being on top is to learn the variables that can be influenced and analyze the contents of a top-ranking page and simply make yours match it keyword for keyword. This does not mean you copy the page or reuse even one of their sentences. I am not condoning or recommending copyright infringement. Instead, evaluate the page ahead of yours by literally clicking on their listings, visit their site, and select View from the pull-down menu in your browser and then Document Source in Netscape Navigator, or Source in Microsoft Internet Explorer. This allows you to view the actual HTML, code that makes up their page.

Ask yourself, "Is a particular keyword more prominent in their Title tag than in Mine?" If this page has a keyword in the third position, make sure your Title tag has a keyword in the third position. If their page has the keyword twice in the title, in position three and seven, you do the same without copying their Title tag. If their page has 264 words of copy, write 264 word of copy for your informational page. If their 264 word of copy contains three occurrences of the targeted keyword, yours should have three, and so on.

Perhaps they are using the keyword in the heading tags, or maybe keywords appear in hyperlinks to other internal pages or some other way that you had not considered or are not using. In theory, you can build a page that is identical to theirs in format. However, the search engine will treat the two pages differently depending on what other ranking factors the engine considers such as link popularity.

Plan a Success story

Market, market, market! This is a must for your business to survive. So spend time on this. There is no short cut for success and there is nothing called instant money. You have to work hard according to the marketing strategies you have built or learn from the success story of the successful online marketer whom you think has worked hard for his success with his marketing strategies and marketing ideas.

What Not to Do With Your Website design?

There are numerous mistakes you can make when first setting up a website especially if it's a free website with free hosting, free domain, free template. All too often, they're easy to overlook, but any one of these can quickly and immediately lose you both customers and traffic. Most importantly your reputation, which might make you, lose you confidence in the online business.

Counters

Do not use a visitor counter. They can backfire easily, especially if they display low numbers and a visitor decides they do not trust your product due to a low audience. If you absolutely must have a counter on your website, use an invisible one that visitors cannot see. Better yet, sign up for a good statistics program. Google offers basic services for free.

Construction Signs

Do not put up construction signs on your website. If you are not ready to share your website with the world, leave it offline. It should be live as soon as you activate it with some form of content that will entice visitors. Anything less will only create permanent no-visitors.

Keep it Simple

Do not over utilize snazzy looking features. They are distracting and largely a waste of space. You want your visitors to see your products and your message, not your cool widgets. Not only that, but the heavier technology can slow down sites on older computers and there's nothing less enticing to a visitor than a slow, unresponsive website.

Update Dates and Times

Do not leave any old, outdated copyright notices or dates on your page. The first thing anyone looks for on a website is relevance and the best way to display relevance is through constant updates. If it appears you do not take the time to update and work on your site, then no one will care to look at it.

Keep it Short

Do not get too wordy. People have short attention spans, especially online where they're likely surfing during work or on a short break. You want to offer short, single topic sentences and paragraphs that they can digest quickly. If you do it right, they'll keep reading. Use bullet points and headlines as most people merely scan online copy and you want them to at least see the most important parts of you page.

Proper Grammar

The most obnoxious thing anyone can do when writing a website is not take the time to write it properly. Poor grammar, misspelled words and passive verbs are a killer. Using active sentences not only makes you appear more confident in what you are saying, it spices up your copy. And nothing kills copy quicker than poor grammar.

Sell Your Product

Do not merely show information. Throw out the best details you can muster about your product. What does it do well? Why do your visitors need you or your product more than anyone else's? Be proactive and sell yourself. Finish with a call to action that gives your readers a clear directive to contact you, purchase something, or return at a later time.

Keep At It

These are all great tips that will help to create a productive, successful website, but you have to keep with it as well. Do not give up or stop as soon as you website is built and no on visits. Be active and attract visitors with fresh content, new articles, and active link building.

Website Tips

Putting Together Good Content

Building a decent website is the key to having an impact on the Internet. It's all about how you present yourself. Before you can hope for return visitors and customers, you must give them a good reason to return and that means offering a good website with quality content. There are dozens of good tips to putting a quality website together. It's only a matter of knowing where to start.

The most important thing you can do though right off the bat is to offer quality content. No matter what the site looks like or how well it shows up in search engines, you need quality content to offer your visitors.

Choosing a Topic

You should have a topic that you know something about or can easily become well versed in. Do not pick a topic that bores you and you know little about or it will be apparent to your visitors in your content, which will only bore them and reveal that you know nothing about it. You'll see dozens of websites if you search quickly on Google that are slapped together overnight and filled with horrible content, optimized for the use of Ad sense. Do not let that happen to your site.

Updating

You must have constant updates in your content as well. If you choose a boring topic, you'll be unwilling to constantly update that content, and because search engines are hungry for new content on a near daily basis to keep you at the top of their listings, you need to be willing to update. The key is to find a good niche online that very few people have much to say about and that you will be interested in. this allows for constant updates without duplicating content and a fun, content rich site.

Quality Content

Write quality content. Do not slap together a quick 300 words every day without proofreading and spell checking it. It's important to present quality along with your informed, interested opinions. This means taking a little bit of time writing it and checking your facts. You want your site to appear professional and to read naturally, not key word optimized. If you have trouble with writing, you can always consider hiring a professional.

Finding Content

You do not always have to write your own content either. There are dozens of websites that offer thousands of pre-written articles for free usage with a byline attached. These are perfect ways to attach interesting new content on a daily basis to your website that will continue to draw visitors and keep you in the search engine ranks. Just remember, while that free content is a great way to get your site started, only original content will help in getting you higher search engine rankings.

It's no surprise that quality content is the key to running a successful website. It's a hand down necessity for nearly any new Webmaster just getting started. You just need to know where to start.

The Importance of Tag Titles and Descriptions

When optimizing your site for search engine statistics, one of the most important things you used to be able to do is offer a good title tag. Recently, search engines have begun to look beyond this simple headline to determine what your site is about and index it accordingly, but it can still go a long way toward putting yourself in a good position if you create good title tags with these simple tips:

Length

Google will take only the first 65 characters of any title tag to display. Any more than that and you are wasting time and space. Be efficient and succinct right off the bat. Of course you want to optimize your title tag as well for the best results, so you are walking a very fine line here. The difference between optimization and intelligibility is not quite as thin. The best way to get the results you are looking for might be to simply stuff keywords.

Making Sense

But, stuffing keywords doesn't always make sense either. If you write everything out without a sense of what your site is actually about save the word "dog collar" repeated four times, you'll get fewer visitors. You're writing this for multiple audiences - the search engine algorithm as well as your visitors. Find the right balance.

Capitalization

Make this a headline of sorts. You should have every word that is of any importance, or just simply every word capitalized to grab attention. More or less all copywriting is better and more effective if you use this technique and hey if newspapers have been doing it for centuries, why not you as well? This is an important step you can take in separating your text from others; however make sure not to capitalize every letter in your title. It looks juvenile and angry.

Unique Key Words for Every Page

It might be easier to just use a set list of keywords and title tags for each page of your site, but by separating them out and utilizing numerous styles and phrases throughout your website, you can further enhance your search results. Otherwise, you'll likely never see any of the sub pages of your website ranking in the search engines. By optimizing every page individually, you can receive a better chance of each individual page being successful.

Company Names in Tag Titles

Do not do this. It's just a bad idea. All you do by adding your company name to a tag title or headline is waste space in a search engine. The only way this helps you is if someone searches for your company name directly, in which case they'll likely find your site anyways. You want to use keywords that attract audiences looking for products like yours. If they are already looking for your product, you probably don't need to optimize.

Optimizing your tag titles is a key step in providing the best and most efficient description of your website to both the search engines and potential visitors. Doing it correctly is important or you'll likely find that no one visits your site or those that do, do it for the wrong reason.

Dos and Don'ts of Link Building

Way back when the Internet first evolved, link building was not nearly as important as it is today. With primitive search engine technology and limited access to incoming and outgoing links, the only purpose of building links and their popularity was in getting traffic from someone else's sight. As the Internet evolved though and search engines started ranking sites and links on the quantity and most importantly quality of incoming and outgoing links, link building's importance surged.

Once upon a time, link building was something a site owner or web master would work on after all of the tedious work of actually building a site was done. It was an individual prospect. However, today it has become one of the leading industries on the Internet, with millions in cash flow.

So what do the search engines look for that there are so many people making a living off of link building? It's in the algorithms really. Search engines use complicated algorithms that break down the value and importance of each link and its authenticity. The more positive, organic links you have to your site, the more endorsements you've wrangled from the web community, something that search engines absolutely love.

Unfortunately for site owners, this organic link building is a very time consuming, tedious prospect and isn't nearly as efficient as it needs to be. So there are multiple other methods that people have developed over time to get the links they need. This can be a dangerous proposition though as the last thing you want is for a search engine to tag you as a malicious link builder. Fooling a search engine is tricky, so keep these in mind when building a link creation strategy:

Link Buying

Google does not like this. The whole idea of their algorithm is that they are substituting mechanical processes of weeding through millions of websites for human opinion. Buying that opinion is considered cheating and it's possible to not get credit for these types of links. This doesn't hurt you in any way other than wasting your time. However, if you offer a link back to these link-farming sites, you'll likely find yourself in Google's timeout, possibly losing your search engine indexes altogether.

Presentation

The whole point of search engine algorithms is to pick apart sites as a person would. For that reason, they attempt to decide if your links are user friendly and placed in easily reached places. Do not separate links to a links only page and keep them near prominent sections of your site. Do not load everything with keywords either; it needs to appear genuine or you'll lose your indexing.

To be Successful

You need to run your site as a casual, natural looking site. The search engines get smarter every day and if you farm or buy links and stuff keywords in them, you'll likely risk losing whatever good you might have had or even losing your place in the search engines altogether. Do not fall for the trap of ease over substance and you'll be building great links in no time.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

Search engines get smarter every day. Google and the like have people working to make the search engines more efficient at delivering desired results. This poses a threat to some methods of online marketing, but also gives rise to new opportunities to market. By using a little HTML knowledge and taking a bit of time, you can ensure proper rankings in the search engines.

One way to boost your rank in search engines is the use of links to make money online by driving traffic to your business website. You should ensure that your links have the proper "link power" to get effective results in search engine ranking.

#1 - EXTERNAL LINKS

Put your link on other people's blog comments, forum posts, article directories, and affiliate pages. The search engines respect links from other sites more than internal links. Linking one page of your site to the other doesn't help all that much in search engine ranking.

#2 - LINK KEYWORDS

Backlinks are links that piggyback traffic from other sites by use of a link on a listed page. You can do this using the above methods. When you backlink, it is wise to make the very links the keywords for your website. The search engines note which words are linked and ranks your site higher for that keyword.

#3 - TITLE="KEYWORD"

This is the html of a link:

<a href="URL" title="keyword1,keyword2">keyword</a>

One thing that is easy to forget is that you can put your keyword into the HTML of the link so that the search engines pick up those keywords for your link.

#4 - ALT="KEYWORD"

If you are linking a banner, the HTML will look like this:

<a href="URL"><img src="IMAGE_URL" alt="keyword1,keyword2" border="0"></a>

You can pop the keyword in the alt tag in the image instead of the title tag in the link HTML. It arguably gives the same effect.

#5 - QUANTITY

If you can post a link in your signature of your forums or in the resource or bio box of an article, then by all means, do it. The link will show up on very page with your name on it giving you lots of "link votes" in the search engines.

#6 - RELEVANT CONTEXT

Make sure that the text around your link is relevant. This may not be just for target marketing purposes. It has been argued that search engines will pick up on the relevancy of your link, too.

#7 - RECIPROCITY

Links have more "link power" if the link is not returned. This means that you have to get other sites to put up links to yours while not putting their links to you. It's kind of like being a celebrity...everyone talks about you, but you hardly ever mention your fan's names.

#8 - POST LINKS ON RESPECTED SITES

If you are trying to get up on the Google rankings, backlink off the sites the Google likes. This will let you steal some of their "link power".

#9 - ROBOT.TXT

Search engine crawlers will crawl sites that allow them access to it. And one way they can tell if your site is accessible is to provide a simple text document called "robot.txt" in the directory folder where your main page is located. Here is a simple example of the content of a robot.txt:

User-agent: *

Disallow:

That will allow all webcrawlers to search all of your pages for content.

#10 - LESS LINKS ON YOUR PAGES

The less "link power" you give out, the more you can keep.

Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

Direct mail marketing is often part of a bigger picture and longer sales cycle. In such cases, your direct mail postcard or letter serves a "learn more" function. This is where direct mail and websites become perfect marketing partners.

Postcards in particular make excellent website promoters. With their easy readability and "at-a-glance" impact, direct mail postcards can help you entice people to your website.

Here are five ways postcards can drive qualified traffic to your site.

1. Free reports and white papers.
Create a valuable report and make it available for download via your website. Feature the report (with graphics, excerpts, and other teasers) on a postcard. Make sure you have a web-based lead-capturing system in place to collect the name and email address of each respondent.

2. Seminars.
Seminars are a great business-building tool for certain industries. Real estate, financial services, investing, technology ... each of these sectors can use seminars to increase their exposure and gain clients. Direct mail makes it easy to promote your seminars. Put the primary benefit of your seminar in the headline, and offer multiple incentives for attending. Offer a web-based form to simplify the sign-up process.

3. Free trial.
If you're selling software, e-books, or anything else digital, you can offer a free trial or sample download through your website. Then use the direct mail piece to build interest and point readers in the right direction.

4. Newsletter subscription.
Want to increase the size of your subscriber base? Send a postcard that conveys the value of the newsletter, along with a strong bonus incentive for signing up. Create a landing page with a short URL / web address so it's easy for people to type.

5. RSS Feeds.
RSS feeds are becoming a popular web-marketing tool, and for good reason. They're easy to produce, and they give you another way to stay connected with your audience. So why not send a postcard to your customers showing the value of your RSS feed (and how and where to sign up for it).

Leveraging your website can reinforce your direct mail, which in turn can lead to higher response rates. So think about your own website, audience, and product or service. How can you bring them together to accomplish your goals?

The most difficult area of SEO is building link popularity. You may be thinking why? Because there are no easy ways to build link popularity. In this article I will tell you how to get links and how to find them.

First thing you must do is find a web site that you would like to trade links with. How do you find them? You can join link exchanges like www.linkexchangeit.com or you can search the search engine with keywords related to your site. Remember RELATED sites only! Let's say your site is about cars, so you would search with keywords like car body repair, car, SUVS, trucks, vans, etc or let's say your site is about games, so you would search with keywords like checkers, card games, chess, online games, etc. Now that you know what to do go and search for sites RELATED to yours and ask for a link exchange.

You could send them this email below if you like.

This is

A lot of webmasters, especially those who are just starting out, have limited marketing budget. But that doesn't mean that they cannot popularize their websites. With the advent of article marketing, a free and effective marketing tool, anyone can make a name online by just writing and distributing articles online.

1. Pick the best topics. In doing so, you must remember that your topics must be able to generate the interest and attention of your target market or those people who are most likely to buy from you. So, if you are selling golf equipments, you should write about golfing tips, world's famous golfers, upcoming tournaments, etc. These articles will surely attract those people who are playing or at least interested about golf - these are the people who you would like to drive to your website to augment your sales potential.

2. Widely distribute your articles. The effectiveness of your article marketing campaign lies on how many targeted people you are able to connect to. So, aside from article submission sites, you can also post your articles on your blog, social networking sites, social bookmarking sites, forums, or on your own website. You can also use them as newsletter content when you publish your ezine or compile them to create an ebook.

3. Be particular with your titles. Your articles, no matter how good they were written, will be ignored online if your titles are lousy. Improve your click through rate by using headlines that are attention-grabbing, enticing, direct to the point, intriguing, and keyword-rich.

4. Don't forget your potential audience. Always keep them in mind when writing your content and make sure that you design your articles to meet their needs and demands.

Article marketing is one of the absolute basics of internet marketing. Having articles all over the internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come. This article will explore some of the advantages of article marketing and its subtleties in order to help internet marketers to use it to their best advantage.

Anyone who's been doing internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one's online campaigns. Having articles in various article directories is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site's popularity. When a page has many links back to it it helps to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page's rank.

Bear in mind that people take articles they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you, the author, with more back links and publicity.

When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.

Although it may be tempting to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this. Why is that? Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, it may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site. It's better to submit articles every couple of days.

In the process of article marketing, don't submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don't want that! Google would consider the site which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site's page rank may suffer.

Don't submit PLR articles without making changes!! There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don't do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article. Read it and rewrite it in your own words. Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.

Try to use good keywords in your article's title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.

Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks. For sophisticated and efficient article marketing try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP's (search engine result pages). If you are targeting the word "gardening tips" make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term "gardening tips".

Try to remember that people will be reading your article. Make it readable for them and don't just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don't enjoy reading the article, they won't bother reaching the end of it, which is where you will lead them to your site from the ever-important resource box!

In summary, article marketing is a very important, even critical, element of internet marketing. Every internet marketer should be making the effort to become proficient in article marketing and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.

Happy writing!
